Hey Nonacrone, you can find lots of colour palette sites via google! Colorseeds is one, Colorpalettes is another! Check them out, there's a lot of good variety if you're stuck for colour ideas.
Since colour palettes help me a lot while creating an original design I'll share with you my favourites.
I generally like the ones that have different colours - both light and dark.
I'm more of a monochrome fan, or palettes using split complimentary colours. I also really dig the aesthetic of bright crimson and mint green or vice versa--opposite colours with different levels of chroma are really swank.
On most adoptables, I like colours that mimic real creatures... depending on what the adoptable is, camoflage vs. warning signalling--earth tones with the occasional really cool pattern, usually!
