Some supernaturals require a little human contribution to their diets. The demons take care of this. Downtown, supernaturals can order their meals with Meat and their drinks with Liquid. These are euphemisms for human meat and human blood.
It's all perfectly legal and padded with volunteers. Imitations also exist, but the real deal is more satisfying and lasts longer.
