Personally, I like most of the characters! I'll have to say that Cater, Vil, Ruggie, Epel and Rook are my most favourite characters! Cater being my comfort character huehuehue~!!!
I haven't really found a lot of Twisted Wonderland fans, especially not on this site. I created this thread in hopes that i would some find people who know about, or are fans of the game! Hopefully, we can be friends! I would love to gush over the fandom with new people! Let's talk about the characters, or even your TWST characters!
I'm more of a... casual(?) fan at the moment, if that makes sense. I haven't played the game myself just yet (but have been meaning to eventually), but I've glanced through the Wiki to kind of get a feel for it because it is hits many of my aesthetics. Not to mention the fact that Yana Toboso is one of my favourite artists, and seeing her work is always a pleasure. <3
I don't know that many characters, but Malleus seems interesting (or rather, his design fits my tastes lol).
What do you like about the game and its characters? What would you recommend about it to try to get people to try playing it themselves?
That's valid, dude!! Got into Twisted Wonderland because of Yana too! I couldn't really play the game anymore since my phone can't support the updates, but from my experiences of playing it; if you like rollin' for characters or rhythm games, then that's most probably the game for you. (Of course, it's a tad tedious that everythin' is in japanese, but you can translate, or watch people play the game). I personally am not a fan of rhythm games unfortunantly, but i am a fan of gamble-ROLLING FOR CHARACTERS. That sorta spawned my addiction on gacha games sobs.👩🦯
I really like Twisted Wonderland mostly because of the story/characters. Grew up with Disney, and to see these characters turn into hot guys does peak my interest GDJHRFG. It's interesting! and i find stories of most of the characters relatable. The story isn't perfect and some are a tad flawed, but i do enjoy it nonetheless, and the disney references in the game makes me feel like a kid again!

I've been playing since release and it was a major part of my 2020! The initial obsession has kinda died down and I haven't actually touched the game itself in a little while due to getting tired of grinding and I'm waiting for the chapter 6(? if I remember correctly) release but I still really enjoy it! When I like something I get really into it and end up memorizing every little detail,, whoops. I've been playing along to fan translations by people on tumblr so even though there might be some mistranslated bits it's not too hard to get into the story even as someone who doesn't know Japanese which is really cool ^ ^ massive respect to those people who do translations!
And also thirding getting interested in twst because of Yana Toboso! I'm such a huge fan of her works and the characters she creates are always amazing.
With they way they're written, I'm finding it impossible to fully dislike any of the twst characters somehow despite them being based on the Disney villains dnfkfngkg honestly I'm actually really into in the way they handle certain topics, like its not the complete best but the way its written is still really interesting and really emphasizes the fact that they're just high-school age students overcoming struggles with some really cool major references to the Disney villains.
And Deuce and Ace my beloveds,, I love those two idiots and their dynamic. *pats their heads* their development from enemies to besties is so neat. All of the boys from Heartslabyul have such interesting dynamics god I love them. I also.. really like Rook. Like a lot for some reason. I still haven't figured out why dnfnfkfngkg. Maybe it's because I relate to him? With the whole love of theatrics and cool hats thing. Or maybe it's just the cool hats..

I really love seeing someone gush over the game with me! The characters and all, althrough not perfect, definently has their own charms.My favourite dorms are Heartslaybul and Pomefiore, although i resonate with Heartslaybul the most because Alice in Wonderland vibes GAHGSH. Ace and Deuce are so fun, i want to be friends with them HHRGCHJRC. Rook, i think it's his speech that made my heart go BOOM. In other words, chapter 6 might not come out for some time, but we have food to suffice [looks at ghost marriage idia]

Favorite(s) are Vil , but based on aesthetic , Riddle !! I dont really use / make ocs for it that much anymore , but that's mainly because I enjoy sticking to canon & make primarily female ocs 💀
As for getting into it , I (think) I initially found it before release when there was still the misconception that it was going to be a dating sim , but my perception of time is awful so I'm not really sure hh
