I’m sick, and I already called out twice last week, had Friday off, went in on Saturday and felt even more like shit, called out of my other job yesterday, and I was gonna go in and ask if I could work a few hours to help out and then leave early today.
But now the coworker that helps me with my job is out, and so I have the work of two people to finish up and will likely be there almost all day. I wanna ask if I can finish my work and leave, but my department “closes” at 7, so they “need someone to stay until 7 to help people out” even when I rarely get asked to help a customer past like, 5.
And they were expecting the two of us to be there today, so they probably made a lot of stuff for us to put away, ughhh
Edit: went in, and one of my coworkers helped out and put some of the food into bags which helped. Even then I still only got to clock out at 6, I feel like shit.
