Music Talk and Music recommendations Thread

There are music threads that you can share what you've been currently listening or songs that you don't like but not for one focused in music in general. I don't think I have seen a thread dedicated to music in general, or at least people freely want to share and talk about music.
Found a cool obscure band and wanted to share with other people? Are you a musician, making music by yourself or part of a band and want to show it off? or you just wanna share some tunes that you like here? This thread is meant to talk about music in general, whether you're a musician, a music enjoyer, someone who is non-stop sharing what they like, or going technical as you talk about guitar equipment and what frequency is good for the sound. I know music recommendation threads also exist in forum games, but I would like to have a thread where people can share music whenever they want to. So I made this one

Just things in mind
- if the music video, lyrical content or album covers contains sensitive content please put a warning, spoil or black it. Otherwise, share an SFW music as another option. Same applies if the songs talk about sensitive topics (mental illness, crime, drugs, politics, self harm, etc.), also don't forget to give warning if there are triggering imagery (i.e. flashing lights, bright colors, etc), just in case, a video with only static images or lyrics with the song is a good option instead.
- If you see a band or singer you don't like, please don't start a fight here.
- Mentioning what artist and genre is optional but recommended, so people can have an idea what to expect for the sound.
- Sharing bands, genres, or songs that have history of being intentionally hateful, done problematic things, or promoting hate (either from their songs, album art, or members/musician themselves) is prohibited. Please refrain from sharing them.
- Showing off your music or band is cool too. If you posted to show off your music or band, please wait for like 4 or 6 people to post before you post again. So it won't look too spammy.

Format (optional)
Artist - song
Genre:
(then music link/video and whatever you write goes here)

If I need to revise the rules or update this, please let me know.

DanishTheMenace ooh, I've got new favorites. I really like Fidlar, they've got kind of a 90's feel to their style. Neat recommendations, thank you

Nuclear-Hydrangea

just posting an album I like

Έρεβος - Αίμος/Επόμενη Μέρα compilation album, A compilation of songs from Έρεβος two albums, the slow, rocking Αίμος and the gothic, post punky Επόμενη Μέρα
Genre is kinda like Alt rock, psychedelic rock, and gothier post punk thrown into one.

I'd post Nightwish here, because I've been a fan for half my life at this point, but Dark Passion Play is a super dark album headlined by the objectively grim (but incredible) epic The Poet and The Pendulum, which talks about depression, rape and murder, and their other albums are all either weird, esoteric or Once (which is kinda both), so instead I will post Fairyland, and possibly some like, Gloryhammer.

Fairyland is the name given to what feels like two different projects, one running from 2003 to 2009, and the other with a recent release in 2020, tied together by their style and frontman. This band is actually what inspired my fursona's band IC, which is still unnamed. It's very much symphonic metal, like Nightwish, but it does one of my favorite things: tell a consistent, overarching story from album to album. Only in this case it's better because it's high-fantasy metal. Here is a link to the official video for Heralds of the Green Lands, for an example of their style. I've heard it compared to Dream Theater.

Gloryhammer is the other band fronted by the same dude that brought us motherfuckin' Alestorm, and also does the Thing with storytelling. The gimmick here is the band seems to follow a D&D campaign centered around Angus McFife XII, its intergalactic Scotsman protagonist, and Zargothrax, the main villain. Seriously, this band kicks major ass, and here's Hootsforce to prove it.

I love metal, in case it wasn't obvious by now!

roziist

neeeeeed to spread the fleshwater gospel. alt metal shoegaze whatever idk how to tell the differences between metal genres but me likey these genres together lots.

my fav song is foreign but my first song was closet (which I found on tiktok *stink face*). enjoy is also a fav of mine and it also happens to be a cover of a björk song with the same name. overall the album is very good and I hope they keep the project going cuz I'll be very sad if it's just a one-off thing :''3

been listening to deftones recently too though i havent had the chance to listen to any of their albums fully. I like hole in the earth and beware and back to school
