ive been seeing a lot of fandom-based threads popping up lately so i thought id make one about my current biggest interest rn

quick context for anyone who may not be familiar: qsmp/quackity smp is a multi-language minecraft roleplay server created with the intention of destroying language barriers and bringing together multiple communities regardless of language. im pretty sure it’s also the first minecraft server with live translations built into the game (they’re a bit funky, but they’re still very helpful). the server is mostly known for the dragon eggs that members of the server are tasked with taking care of and keeping alive. you may be already familiar with a lot of people on the server, for example dantdm (but he’s canonically dead lmao), jaiden animations, badboyhalo, philza, wilbur soot, cellbit, etc.

for the past few weeks i have been unironically INVESTED in this server lmao. i am so emotionally attached to these eggs……. it’s getting borderline weird…. it’d be fun to meet others here who might enjoy qsmp

im very late bc i got distracted LMAO but im back

1. how did you find out about qsmp? how long have you been watching it?: i found out about it through jaiden! ive been following her since 2017 and one day i came home from a rlly stressful trip to find that she was on a minecraft smp. i wasn’t too into mcyt then so i only watched her pov sometimes and kept up with how bobby was doing. then when he died and she went on her double agent arc i got invested and started watching others’ povs and it all went downhill lmao. ive technically been watching since the very start

2. what’s your birth language? are you bilingual?: my birth language is english and even tho im friends with people who speak other languages, ive never really picked up much other than a few basic words. learning spanish, portuguese, and french through qsmp and getting to see content creators who speak different languages has been really cool

3. who are your favorite povs? who do you watch the most?: i literally drop everything whenever i see jaiden streaming qsmp LMAO, she’s definitely my top pov. i also like watching philza, badboyhalo, and fit, and ive been planning on popping on one of baghera’s streams since she’s got a live english translator and i find her fun

4. which egg is your favorite?: oh god this is a hard question….. i love all of them LMAO but i especially love tallulah, dapper, pomme, & richarlyson

5. do you follow the lore? how do you feel about the federation & the mystery surrounding the island?: HELL YES i honestly have no clue what the federation is planning, especially considering recent events. cucurucho could kind of go either way, he seems to have bad intentions but we never know at this point (especially taking cellbit’s betrayal into account). although maybe it’s jaiden’s optimism towards cucurucho rubbing off on me lol

also i just realized i forgot to mention: how are we feeling about the most recent event? do you think new people will be coming, and if so, what country do you think they’ll be from? im wondering if the eight new people might have something to do with the federation bc cellbit & fit recently broke into the federation building and they found a meeting room with eight seats

Honeybriar OOOOOH HI THATS SO COOL im happy to see another lgbtqsmp fan here too!!!! i agree that it’s difficult to find people open about being into mcyt because it’s so Shunned nowadays

i miss juana-flippa too…. i wasn’t rlly keeping up with the server when she died and charlie went coo-coo bonkers so when i got recommended that one animatic i was like “holy shit the qsmp got LORE now” lmao. i wish I kept up with the server and got to know her before she died

also tallulah my beloved….. have you seen her recent mental spirals she’s been going down? she snapped at one of her cousins and was comforted by one of her uncles. poor girl, i just want to hug her 🥺

Honeybriar it’s okay!!!! i don’t mind explaining, i love rambling about my fixations lmao. i won’t go into too much detail so i don’t accidentally spoil it for you lmao, i’ll just share some major details (in order of when they happened) that you might need to know to catch up

SPOILER WARNING + CW FOR CHILD DEATH

first off, we got some more players about a month after the brazillians joined!!!! they’re french and their names are bagherajones, etoiles, aypierre, antoinedaniel, & kameto (but kameto hasn’t been active on the server in a while). just like the brazillians, they were given an egg to take care of together. her name is pomme (she/her), she has a little beret, and she wants to be an artist when she grows up. she’s the sweetest little thing ever i love her so much. all of the french players have split custody of her, and badboyhalo recently adopted her as well

unfortunately, about two days after the french players joined, bobby died D: he was doing a dungeon with roier and they were lagging. he got downed and roier couldn’t revive him bc of the lag. because of that, it was unclear whether the death would be reversed or not because it was kinda unfair. roier and jaiden assumed that bobby would be returned back to them, but instead, they only got 10 final minutes with him before he was taken away by cucurucho. bobby told his parents to think of him every time they see the sun set
both roier and jaiden took bobby’s death extremely hard. roier was adopted by foolish & vegetta shortly after, and he began to perk up a bit, but it’s still a difficult topic for him. jaiden self-isolated and built a house called “bobby fields” far away from the other players, dedicated to bobby’s memory, which jaiden has become obsessed with

also, cellbit, jaiden, and quackity started working for the federation, all at different times and for different reasons. cellbit watched cucurucho kidnap his best friend felps, and cellbit joined the federation with the intent of finding and rescuing his best friend, but it failed miserably and it ruined his life. jaiden started working for the federation under the pretense that the eggs would be safe as long as she did her job, but when one of the eggs was killed by the binary code while one of their parents was away helping jaiden with one of her government-assigned missions, she realized she had been duped, and now half the island doesn’t trust her. quackity started working for the federation after making a deal with cucurucho that if he did what the federation wanted, they would bring his son tilín back. they made him do increasingly more concerning & violent missions until he fucked up one, causing them to kidnap him. he still hasn’t returned, but he’s been seemingly replaced with a double named “elquackity”. we don’t know if they’re the same person or not, but maximus, cellbit, and badboyhalo have recently been putting together a plan to figure that out >:)

on a lighter note, roier & cellbit got married!!!! they had a rocky start (long story short, cellbit killed his grandpa) but It Worked Out. jaiden is super supportive and she’s keeping a close eye on cellbit

edit: OH MY GOSH I DONT KNOW HOW I FORGOT TO MENTION there’s currently an election going on for the position of president of quesadilla island. several people are running, and voting is coming up soon i think

5. do you follow the lore? how do you feel about the federation & the mystery surrounding the island? eugh considering i followed philza, who doesn't really care about lore (he more or less cares about his friends and the safety of the eggs), i don't really care too much about it. i do think that the federation = evil and the island is conducting some sort of experiment on the islanders
