Makes me happy to see GPX in the list, for some reason. It was the first Pokémon-egg game and its often forgotten behind the copies. I've been playing that game for 12 years and I feel like I'll give it my whole life :')

I recently made a virtual pet websites masterlist mostly for fun! I grabbed a bunch of semi-active/active pet sites mostly for myself so I can find new one's easier or try ones I haven't tried later on. I also have a Old/Defunct browser games masterlist, it describes games we all used to know and love and also provides links to possible remakes/revivals of these games.
Feel free to leave suggestions for the virtual pet sites masterlist as long as they fall within the "rules" they aren't anything major just mostly there to make sure the games are actually active. You are also welcome to suggest mobile games now since I saw a few people suggesting some already I though why not just add a section for them.
Also as a sidenote every box has a scroll bar. I noticed a lot of people weren't able to find games I added because they didn't know it was able to scroll. :3
Rules for Suggestions
- Please check the list before suggesting! :)
- The Website must have at least a few active players online or have a recent "news" post.
- If suggesting a mobile game preferably have it about 4 star ratings.
- They must fall specifically in the pet collecting, pet care, or animal roleplay esc(?) categories. (By animal roleplay esc I mean games like Wolvden/Lioden)

strange oh wow thank you for letting me know! For now I think I may just remove it from the list and I'll check on it from time to time. :3 And no problem! I do the same and every list I had found were from 2010-2013 so I felt it was time to get an updated one lol

Can you add 4dopt to the list too? I just came back to that site, and it's similar to aywas in terms of creating your own pet species, except all of the species on 4dopt are user-made (including items). Depending on the species, you can also edit your pets by using the recolor feature.
I do want to mention that you must be at least level 10 to become an artist on this site though, and registrations only open on saturdays. Also, you don't have access to most of the site if you aren't logged in. Aside from the obvious social aspects that most virtual pets have i.e. forums, chat, and player sales, exploring seems to be the only truly interactive part of the site (you can increase your pets' stats (if they have any) and energize them, but that's pretty much it).
It's pretty semi-active, though not a lot of users are online.
And on the topic of defunct games, you should also add Squiby, Shidonni, Star 86, and Pet Society. I'm surprised none of these were added since I played the latter three when I was little, and I also created a lot of pets there on the formermost site.
Pet Society's legacy pretty much lives on in clones now, Squiby and Shidonni are lost media sadly, and Star 86 managed to have a lot of its assets found recently (still not playable tho, but gives me hopes that it'll get a rewritten version).

for your defunct list, you could add novilar. it was a struggling site where you collected pets and had a "walking" mechanic where you "walked" and it rolled random events, which is how you earned most money and resources. there was a very generous skin system and "professions" for the player characters. it changed hands multiple times and the last owner knowingly let the domain/server expire without letting anyone else know, deleting everyone's accounts/pets :( i used to be very fond of it because i was user 666 lol. i think it ran 2016-nov 2022ish? it's hard to find a ton of site information because the site is... gone now and no one knew it was getting nuked, so there was no big effort to save anything.

Analogue Just added it to the list! And it's no problem! I recently hyperfixated on a ton of these websites and kept trying to find lists that had games I hadn't heard of and all the lists were very short/scattered so I made this. :3
