I do hope they realize what they said wasn't ok and they grow and change as a person. I'm afraid it only takes a single time for them to fall in the alt-right pipeline and that's an echochamber you don't want to dip your feet into at any cost :(
I don't think they are completely far gone, I do wish the best for them as I'm 99% this is an environmental issue. Bigotry is never genetic, it is up to someone to break the cycle of hatred and sadly if nobody is doing that it's no surprise this kid may be pushing those same ideals.
It could also be projection, as much as nobody wants to admit it there's quite a few cases of homophobic/transphobic/etc individuals that are LGBTQ+ themselves and in the closet.

What I kinda feel bad is for this folk to potentially become more phobic/ist in a more hostile way. Sure it ain't our fault nor our responsibility for what some rando on the internet may turn into, but still it's a thought I often have when it comes to this category of "ignorant bigot".
I also get the feeling that they're not in their right mind or headspace when they make that post, which tbh it don't make sense why someone would just make an epic rant airing their beliefs unless they're some political/religious speaker. I'll be honest, when I first started out in the internet years ago, I had certain thoughts, beliefs and opinions that would be deemed incredibly phobic by my current self, but I never aired them in this kind of rant post. I can only guess that this fellow probably got into an argument with someone regarding LGBT, got heated, and now made a rant post that is part vent/part fishing for validation. Just a wild guess what their deal is based on experience (since I used to have moments where I felt heated over a topic that I had the urge to air my opinion on it on Twit or something)
i find it funny how they posted that thread on toyhouse of all places. like this is the gayest website ever a very very large percentage of people here are lgbt what did they think was gonna happen? ive stumbled across multiple homophobic christian profiless on here and its like.. ok... but on toyhouse? wow

I myself was in a very religious family and used to not support LGBT when I was around 12/13 due to my upbringing, and the views on homosexuality here in this county is well... eh...
A while after I grew up being exposed internet kinda made me think about my own religion and my sexuality. I eventually felt like I was lesbian. Unfortunately this also meant I felt unsafe in a place that was so unwelcoming to people like me.
Fortunately I'm happy the internet gave me an outlet to feel safe and accepted, and my friends here are all chill too. But uh yeah as someone who grew up in a place where it's EXTREMELY unsafe to even accept the lgbt community or go against religious standards I guess I can empathize a little? but I do agree there's no need to rant out that shit on toyhouse of all places

i typically hate getting involved in shit like this but i briefly commented on the thread to share my experience as an lgbtq person who was raised a homophobic/transphobic christian. at 11-12 years old i was told to kill myself online for repeating what my parents told me about lgbtq people (note: i am now an atheist, non-binary lesbian, and theophobic. i no longer believe those things). because of that - and this is going to sound absolutely fucking awful - i resonated a bit with the original poster, because i saw my younger self in them
i mentioned this on the original thread (and others have mentioned it here) but i just want to bring it up again. the op was a child. i dont mean to put words in their mouth but there’s a very good chance they were repeating what they’d been told by hateful authority figures in their life
also Feufeu last night there was a “lf moots” post that mentioned the poster was christian and didnt support lgbtq+. they used the age-old “i dont support but i have lgbtq friends!!!!” and everyone went batshit insane on them
the thread eventually got deleted because it escalated from debate to harassment, and op seems to have scrubbed their th profile
