(forgive me if there's already a thread about this, i searched and couldn't find anything)
SO!!! Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon are out and i thought it'd be cool to have a thread dedicated to chatting, talking about our adventures, arranging trades, etc etc!
i downloaded ultra moon yesterday and, like i did in sun, chose a cute popplio as my starter ^q^/ the rest of my team i'm still figuring out through wonder trade since poke bank isn't working yet o|-<
what about you guys?
please just let me have a female popplio with a nature that corresponds with the characteristic. please. o)——(

Up to the post game, where I found out that the new ultra beasts aren't shiny locked... and I already promised myself I'd get every shiny ghost-type pokemon if I could........
time to soft reset until I get a shiny clown ;o;
hey,,,,,,,, if anyone has a gothita and/or minccino in a normal pokeball they're willing to trade to me,,,,,,,,,,,, please tell me since i'm trying to put together a team and i don't like when they all have different pokeballs,,,,,,,,,,,
I got US on the release date from the pokemon center online (so I got a random starter plush keychain) and decided to use whichever starter I got and then come up with a team of pokemon (mostly comprised of alola native pokemon) I had NEVER used in my team before. I ended up getting Poplio. Ok.
I got to the trainer school before I got so bored and grump at the team I put together that I caught a grimer and made a new team based around dark/ghost types. All was going well with Slime the Grimer and Don the Murkrow until now. I'm bored of this team too :( I think it doesn't help that I'm so disappointed with how similar the game is to the previous one (And despite it being the birthgame of my favorite pokemon, Mimikyu, it's one of my least favorite gens).
Can anyone help me maybe come up with a way to enjoy this more? I JUST NOW beat the first kahuna and I'm not super excited to continue playing... :(
(My current planned team was gonna be Honchkrow, Muk, Froslass, Tyranitar, Cofagrigus, and Alolan Marowak. But then I realized that I'd need a dawn stone, a dusk stone, and I'd have to wait till bank compatibility is released so I can send over my yanmask)
I got Ultra Moon the day it came out, and have been soft resetting for a shiny Litten since I got it. And I got an early present of a Ultra Sun copy from my brother. So I ended up with both copies.
I dunno how long I've been soft resetting for but I'm over 1500 soft resets. I'm getting a little discouraged to be honest, especially since this is my first soft reset shiny. I mostly Masuda Method breed my shiny Pokemon.
Makes me so glad I am not hard set on shinies. Just got U. Sun and so far it's alright. I never even got part way through Moon XP so we'll see how this holds. Hopefully I'll find a pokemon to make my main. Popplio is cute and all, but not 100% me.
I spent 5 days straight soft resetting for a shiny Rowlet. When I finally got 'im I almost cried. Granted I coulda been done with the game by now but he looks just so pretty now as a shiny Decidueye I have no regrets.
Oh oh! I have a bit of a whine. I love Pokemon, I love Nintendo, I love Pokemon games.... but I just wish I didn't have to do all the new starter stuff every time I start a new game x.x Just a "Do You know how to catch Pokemon? Yes No" would be so much appreciated. I think that's why I stopped playing Moon, just got bored of the intro.
Gonna try and focus better for U. Sun though *determined face* I can do it!
