Since the original Unpopular Opinion Thread is locked (it turned into a shit-show reeeaaal fast) , I've gotten permission to remake it.
I've decided to use the original rules for the thread since those were gucci

Anyway. I don't really care if things are all that deep or not. Don't get me wrong it can be cool as hell to see but not everything needs to have super amounts of meaning. Sometimes things can be surface level and that is okay
^+1 on things not needing to be deep. I feel like a lot of people forget that "art is strengthened with meaning" and "art doesn't need to be that deep" aren't mutually exclusive. Sometimes people just want to create things out of the joy of creating & I think there's value in having that as a creative avenue. And some people create things to communicate a deeper message. Both have their place in the art world and I wish people weren't deadset on having it be only one side or the other
OT: niche opinion of the day but the way the LPS community determines LPS generations sucks because there's not really a solid definition on what counts as G1-4. ie: no one can tell if the rubber-era LPS are G4's or G5's, and depending on who you ask G3 could mean either the pets after the icon-eyes were discontinued or the hyper-stylized cartoon era pets. Or even if the kenner pets from the 90's count as LPS. I usually go by the one LPStube uses (airbrushed pets, icon eyes-onward, cartooon era, rubber era, pets in the city, rubber era reboot, basicfun pets) just for clarity, but it's still not great imo because by that timeline 'pets in the city' is counted as a whole generation despite to me it being more of a "G4.5" (or G5.5 depending on what timeline you're using. You see what I'm getting at? it's confusing trying to even explain which counts as what!)
^ so true about the clutter lol; although i don’t think they would be categorized as games character discussion threads that are all “lf links” and interaction threads are the ones that i’m always blocking constantly and they probably make up a huge portion of my blocked threads

Maybe that category could use a masterlist for more in depth threads someday lol, I remember some I loved that I really wish didn't die off :] Big agree on the anatomy stuff too, desperate for people to learn to just say vagina lmao.
Always felt like the situation with Character Discussion is just the natural result of ppl being more inclined to have longer discussions with friends or likeminded people they've already met and less inclined to throw paragraphs at strangers (at least that's how I usually feel), so I've honestly been having fun seeing so many threads other than the "show me" threads. admittedly I'm completely biased by the fact I'm never looking for anything specific when I pop in there and also that the forums I grew up on were 90% "interact with my character" threads though lol I just think they're cute <3

Sometimes I'll hear people complain about getting banned from somewhere, getting their content removed, etc. And it's like... damn man yeah that kinda was your fault 😭 Like sometimes people are unfairly banned but... No this one was on you. I know you want me to be on your side but that was kind of your fault. I don't know what else to tell you. 🤷♂️
cloudquartz once I saw someone call it “birthday racism” and that’s stuck with me LOL. It’s always shit like “SCORPIOS R EVIL AND DANGER NOT NICE!!!!” and it’s like, wtf. I’m not even a Scorpio but it’s weird as hell. It’s literally your birthday. Like what.
And on the topic of Oreos, I prefer the generic duplex cookies that you get from the supermarket. Those are the best hands down.
Also totally agree on the ban thing. You actively chose to go against T.O.S, now deal with the repercussions. I promise you, being banned from a website isn’t like being denied food or water for a week. YOU’LL LIVE 🙄

I don’t know if this is that unpopular, but artfight threads should not be threads and should be bulletins instead. Literally half of the general and off topic threads could suffice as a bulletin instead of clogging the subforum.
v @Trosper yeah, same with the Oreo cakesters. They’re like whoopee pies but really dry?? They’re not it. They would be good if they were a bit more moist (sorry in advance for moist haters).
