The Terra

  • A name used to reference the physical form of a planet. Generally placed before the name of a planet (i.e. Terra Hvara) this is a formal way to separate reference to actual planet rather then its spirit/World Core. When used alone, it is an informal way to refer to the world the speaker is currently on.

World Core

  • -The sentient spirit or manifestation of a planet. Generally benevolent and somewhat emotionless World Cores are very rarely seen by the residents of the Terra outside of the gods. The formal way to reference a world core would be to place world core before its name (i.e. World Core Arafa).

Tree of Life:

  • A sentient, immortal tree that was said to be planted by an unknown entity when nothing existed but darkness. As the Tree grew it eventually created the first Terra and life as we know it. As time passed a great number of Terras' have grown on its vast branches.

Beginning of the Terras

  •  When the Tree was still a sapling, it was lonely in the darkness and so it created a being, the Dragon of Stars. The Dragon of Stars was the first world core, and together with the Tree of Life they created life on the physical form of the Terra.

Races (Basic)

When a new Terra is created from the Tree of Life. its granted basic knowledge of the creatures and forms of all previous created Terra. Generally a Terra follows similar builds for its races as previous, but adding its own touches. Most Terra create one to four unique intelligent races (Terras' with more then four races living there most likely had some travel there from other Terra). There are six basic builds/ categorization for intelligent races.

  • Humans - the first intelligent race, created by the World Core Origin. Very Adaptable, they are most likely the most widespread race across all the Terra. Generally not susceptible to learning magic, unless born to a magic rich Terra. There have not been any "new" variations of humans created, all humans across all Terra share the same ancestry.
  • Elves -  the second intelligent race, created by the World Core Firma. Not very distinguishable from humans the outside their pointed ears and ability to more easily harness magic. Many variations of this race have been made, Such as the Faeroc made by World Core Hvara, or the Enam made by World Core Tenebris.
  • Beasts - a race made in the image of the unintelligent creatures roaming the first worlds. They were first created by World Core Sorra in the appearance of a griffin people. The most Diverse category ranging from literal talking, intelligent animals to bipedal/ anthro creatures. Animals that cannot speak (even if intelligent) are not considered as an intelligent race. Some examples are the Kitsunea Phoenix created by World Core (hasn't been named yet).
  • Half-Beasts: Races that fall in the nekomimi stereotype range (human body with animal ears, tail, wings, etc.). First created by World Core Sorra (Sorra's a bit of a rule breaker) with a winged people known as Nevern. Also very diverse (nearly as much as beast races) due to all the animals/creatures the people of these group are created based on.
  • Demons - Plenty of legends across the Terras' say that demons tricked the Terra that first created it granting unique powers and long life (isn't true though). This race was first created by World Core (hasn't been named yet) in the form of the Greater Demon race (which is nearly as widespread as humans). The first race to be granted the ability to shift forms (usually restricted to two one humanoid/one bestial). All demons have slit pupils (varying from snake to cat like). Has the most variety between members of the same race as the humanoid form generally shares characteristics as the bestial (such as ears, hair/fur color, tails, etc.). Note: not all members of this race can shape shift or some can only make partial shape change(primarily restricted to wings), this applies to demons like the Demoi made by World Core Newveria.
  • Dragons - Plenty of legends across the Terra's say that dragons were created as a countermeasure to demons (not really true though). First Created by the World Core Darraan in the form of the Dreyman race which has the ability to shape shift between a form indistinguishable from humans to one very clearly a dragon.
    • True Dragons - Dragons with the ability to shape-shift as regarded as "True Dragons", humanoid form ranges from very human-like to functioning like demons in having characteristics of their dragon forms.
    • Lesser Dragons - Dragons without the ability to shape-shift are regarded as "Lesser Dragons". This includes intelligent Dragon beasts with the ability to speak. as well as Humanoid form restricted dragons, which are often difficult to distinguish from humanoid demons in appearance. (don't directly call a lesser dragon a lesser dragon, 90% of the time they'll take offense)
    • False Dragons - not considered a race, this is similar to beasts regarding bestial Dragon form that is unable to speak (even if intelligent) and are general viewed the same as animals.
***Note: These categorizations function as a very simple way to break down the general stereotypes seen across the different races. Many races apply to more then one of these categories or to none of them.

***Note: For humanoid races, interbreeding is possible, but the child will be of one of the parents race (i.e. if a faeroc and drachian had a child, it would either be a drachian or a fearoc, not a mixture of the two). Halflings races don't exist, and one on the extremely, extremely rare occurrence (generally occurs with human and another race) that a child is born as a mix of the parents races, it is seen as a disorder and the child will most likely be sterile.
