Azu + Earl RP

When the boat first landed many of the pirates stayed aboard the ship, sorting out their treasures and trinkets to see which ones they'd paws off for glint ad which ones they would keep for themselves. Usually trading, some some mild arguments, was also involved in this process, but it was all in good fun for the most part.  However, Earl had different priorities and with his large potato sack filled with trinkets he went dashing off, skirting around the feet of the much taller pirates with nimbleness, heading straight off the docks and towards his favorite shop - the one owned by Azumeer. She was his adventuring friend, his curiosity pal. He went straight to her anytime he had anything she might find interesting, and in return usually traded it for other items.... though if he was being honest it was mostly just a ruse to spend more time with her. He was quite taken by her, thinking her to be amazing. She was adventurous and daring in a way he was not, even if he did hang out with pirates.

He opened the door and walked right in, the small fo the place seeming almost comforting even if it was not for everyone.... rumor did have it she bottled farts.

"Azumeer! I found some trinkets you might like!" he called out

The petite water Glim shuffled around the edges of her shop, the Kneeling Boat. The morning sun dazzling through the windows and catching highlights atop many fantastic antiques. The shop was a true beauty. It reeked of dusty wood with a salty tang, as if it’s land bound mass still sailed along the ocean. Ah, the owner was immensely proud of her land bound shop, it was a true sight to behold. At least to her.

Cleannninggg, mid winter cleaninggg Azurmeer hummed happily as she stood atop a three legged stool to dust a shelf near her desk. Why the glim cleaned was the true question, the kneeling boat was quite a lost cause-  for how small the shop was every inch of space there were at least 6 things filling it. Knick Knacks, candles, sea glass, fossils, old gold watches, you could find anything amongst the wreckage, even Azurmeers prized Ship Bottle collection which when opened often clogged your nose with the bitter smell of salty farts.

Oh Earl, Azurmeer peeped, as her dear friend walked into the shop, I can’t wait to see your haul this time! Many of the citizens of glimmer glade frowned upon the local pirate, for Az however, she found Earl to be quite a dear. They had been pals for years, even before he followed his passion for adventure to the sea. I’ll clear off a table for us and we can start scoring through! Hopping off the stool, the small Glim shuffled to the door, motioning her friend into the back of her shops, which was also her living quarters.

The room was far cleaner, the furnishings were oak dazzled with intraquet gold garnishes. The floor was a soft maroon rug, with shag lining. In the center was a large array of candles seated atop an oak table, surrounding it were four large chairs, one had a stack of books in which Azurmeer used to sit atop of.

Esel nodded, adjusting his large round glassed on his nose before following after her, giving a little sneeze. He qas use to dust, being that he koved dusty books and old maps, but for some reason he still always found himself sneezing.

He dumped the contents of the sack onto the table. Most of it was useless, pretty pebbles and driftwood. He didnt theive as much as the other pirates did so his haul was never as good. . . But luckily his map reading ability made him well liked so even if he rarely stole the other pirates often shared some loot with him, a few glint, the odd piece antique.

He picked up one of the glints to show to her

"look this one has some sort of weird pattern on it i haven't seen before, an old currency perhaps?" he mused, adjusting his glasses. "I planned to hit the library after this to see if I can find anything about it."

Azurmeer peaked over the table, her eyes darting over the different rocks, drift wood and the sparse few coins. Standing on her tippy toes, she reached for a nice circular stone. Turning it slowly, she eyed it, curious. Glancing at Earl she smiled, Always too kind to be a pirate, she joked before setting down the pebble and looking at his coin.

The glyph on the coin tickled a memory in the back of her mind, Oh! Earl, I’ve seen something like this before! Her excitement started to bubble up, shuffling back towards the door she dipped around the corner and disappeared for a moment.

Tssk tssk, she thought wondering where that statue had gone. Returning to the room, she held a small bronze structure, it was a very square rendering of what looked like a Glimmic, but where the eye was a coin with the exact same glyph. Look! She cooed, setting the statue next to Earl, this old statue I’ve got has the SAME glyph! Her words bristling with excitement as they left her mouth.

Earl could hardly beleive his luck, but then again, if anyone would jave something it would be her! He really shouldnt have been surprised with all the sorts of things she seemed to aqquire.

He leaned in over yhe table and looked at it closely, adjusting his glasses and blinking before sitting back down his chair, fingers ruffling the feathers on his his neck as he contemplated what this all could mean. Even as a pirate he knew glimmics meant bad news.

I wonder, there was lore on how glimmics survive , maybe this has something to do with that?" He wondered out loud.

"Regardless I knew when I saw it that it was the sort of adventure you like, what with a mysterious coin and all." Earl said, grinning at her.
