Introduction

The forest is buzzing with activity as you pad through the forest. The sound of your paws against the ground droned out by the chirping of birds and small flapping wings of insects. Sunlight leaks through the leaves above, warming your pelt as you stroll.

Suddenly the forest, once alive and loud, becomes unnervingly quiet. Your pelt no longer feels warm as the forest thickens and the sun is soon blocked out by a thick layer of leaves. The only noise greeting you is the crisp sound of leaves being crushed under your weight. Something has unsettled the forest and it pauses to wait in suspense for what was to come. You begin to have thoughts of that perhaps you should have stayed at your den, a sense of dread creeping up your spine as the silence continues. 

Soon as you begin to ponder the idea of turning around, a low growl can be heard nearby. That being the final straw, fur standing on end in fear, you begin to turn around to leave. Before you could even reach a full lope, a heavy weight lands upon you, forcing your face and chest into the dirt. Yowling in pain as small rocks push into your skin like pins.

“Ow! What’s going on? Who are you?” You inquire.

Another gruff growl escapes the attacker’s chest, but no answer. Gulping down the lump in your throat, you begin to feel the weight increase and the sharp pebbles only imbed themselves deeper into your skin. Slowly you feel large claws slowly sinking into your back, not yet breaking the skin, but definitely enough to hurt. 

“Please- Let me go and I’ll never return!” You plead.

You can hear a gruff and masculine scoff be heard from the feline holding you down. Surely he will let you go, yes? You whimper as you feel the claws beginning to break through your skin. Suddenly, a softer more feminine voice can be heard from behind you on the other side of the clearing. 

“Bearclaw! Let them go,” A she-cat meowed with a firm, yet, pleasant voice.

Feeling some bit of hesitation, the tom, Bearclaw, steps off and away from you. Sitting up, you dust yourself off and glance around. You are finally able to address your attackers. Bearclaw, a massive in bulk and height tom with deep amber eyes stand a few feet from you, still quite tensed by the way his tail tip continuously flicks and how his eyes never waver as he glares you down. And your savior, a smaller tortoishell she-cat with inviting forest green eyes.

“Hello traveler. I am Littlestar, leader of MountainClan.” The she-cat states. “What brings you onto our territory?” She questions with a concerned tone, neither an accusing tone nor a forgiving tone.

What is OCotNA?
╚══════════════╝

Old Clans of the New Age was once a roleplay based primarily within a videogame called Feral Heart. It started probably sometime in 2014-ish and lasted until late 2016.

Then it was forgotten, but not by some of it’s original members. Together we have connected to rebuild it to it’s former glory. It’s based on the original four clans going into a new era, an alternate universe where the original book cats do not exist.

Recently due to certain circumstances we have decided to temporarily combine clans as follows-

Thunder & Shadow = MountainClan

Wind & River = ValleyClan

But inevitably they will split again to their original four.

Current Plot

Mother Earth has grown restless, she scores the earth with rain for days, the ground trembles under her wake.There is mild discourse between the clans due to the shared living spaces and learning to work together. ValleyClan’s camp has begun to flood, and that is not the only threat- with the changing of leaders in MountainClan, a new dawn for the Clans may be upon them… Bearstar grows stronger in following, his ambitions growing by the day. 

- Recently, due to the death of an apprentice, Snowpaw, Bearstar has lowered the age of apprentices to 4 moons instead of 6.

To Audition for Old Clans of the New Age one must first read the Rule book for our roleplay.

By auditioning you hereby acknowledge and accept the terms in the rules. The actual application is quite simple. Please fill out the form below and provide a reference of your character then post it in the arrival chat, or DM it to one of the staff to be approved. You can draw the ref sheet yourself (Preferred), ask/request/or pay for someone to draw your character [Refer to staff who can direct you to a willing member], or there are plenty of free to use cat linearts online [just remember to credit the original artist.]) We will not be judging on artistic skill here. You can also provide an IRL picture but it's not preferred.
