Welcome to Paradise City!
A beautiful, strange city sits on the coast by the sea. It sits in a valley nestled between desert mountain ranges. The cliffs of the mountains cut off at the sea, and below lie strange, unexplored beaches and sea caves carved into the rock. The city is split into many different districts. The illustrious downtown is filled with skyscrapers, high-class hotels, and shops all right on the edge of the sea.
A shipyard and industrial district lies further down the beaches from downtown, but even the busy activity of the shipyard has its charms.
Winding freeways seem to float above the city as they carry people from the skyscrapers to the newer parts of the city, full of apartments, lazy neighborhoods, and mini-malls, off roads dotted with palm trees, all sorts of things you would expect to see in a perfect beachside urban setting.
However, as beautiful as the city is, you can't help but feel like something is...off. It's there something in the wind? Is the heat getting to you? Perhaps the glimmering nightlife is pulling you in. This city is definitely not what it seems...Â

Hello there! And welcome to Forever Paradise City!
Forever Paradise City is a brand spanking new, postmodern roleplay set in the 1980s, in a fictional location that is best compared to San Francisco and Las Vegas mixed together! FPC is a character plot-driven multi-paragraph roleplay, that is designed to be what you make of it! Be it slice of life, or something a little more high-paced! In addition to that, all kinds of characters are allowed, regardless of what time period or world they hail from, so long as they abide by a few rules dictating abilities for the sake of smooth roleplaying.Â
However, under the surface of this fantastical, and odd city seems to lie a dark existential secret.
Many of the citizens who seem to have lived here far longer than you seem oblivious to it and the increasing presence of the odd and magical. Even then, if it's your first time, you may not notice anything amiss. At least until one day, you startle awake to a new morning, the distinct feeling of having just borne witness to something horrible still hanging over your head... And perhaps you realize, that you have been here before and have lived this day already.
So yes! The funny little gimmick to this server is that the beautiful Paradise City is trapped within a time loop. One that repeats every month. Only those moving into the city seem to notice this abnormality and have the ability to leave their mark between these loops, be it big or small. No one knows why time loops in this city. Only that, every time the city resets, there is a distinct feeling of dread when you wake up the next morning.
The way the time loops work is that we don't literally loop the whole server every month. That would be a lot of work! Instead, time works relatively fluidly within the server, Â with scenes taking place within each loop having the ability to take as much or as little time as needed! Once things reach a good ending point, or when people start asking about it, we'll put it up in a poll to see when the next loop will start! Â The next loop will start and we can rinse and repeat!
Users are welcome to create or bring in characters that can fill in two roles. Those being "Civilians" meaning the people who don't notice the existence of the time loop and any oddities of the people around them, and those who call themselves "Awares", which are those who can retain their memories from each loop and can subsequently cause things to carry over from each loop.Â
If you find the idea exciting, don't be afraid to hop in! We've had yet to make a TH world for that, so most of the stuff we do is confined to the server alone, but that can certainly be a possibility in the future! We're still very new and haven't started many roleplays quite yet, so everything is still open to some planning for how you want your first time loop to go!
