I am curious but not interested enough to join.
So I have this idea for a potential discord server! This would serve a few purposes; as I have moderated existing servers but never ran my own, nor have I been exploring my own original story ideas, so I would like to do two birds in one stone, so to speak!
Let me introduce myself' I am Vincent, or Stray, and I am 24. I am a literate role player and have years of experience both moderating and over a decade of role play experience. The idea I have I am not sure I will have be 18+ or not, but there will be nothing sexual in my server. Gore is to be limited, and violence as needed, with details explained later in the post.
The premise is a generally common one: there has been a zombie outbreak and it overtook the world, destroyed civilization, and it will be survival based. But I see too many zombie themed stories and worlds that seem to just be there for the gore or the danger and not focusing on the people and struggles within! So I will be going with the basic concept that zombies function best in moderate temperatures, they thrive from temperatures ranging from 70ish to the 90s (Fahrenheit), but in triple digits they deteriorate much faster and decay so fast that they fall apart, while in cooler temperatures, their bodies literally seize up and freeze, where they can never move again unless unfrozen.
So the settings will be taking place in far North areas of the globe, probably a mix of real places as well as fictional towns and cities! These places are short on resources and have to rely on hunting animals and keeping warm, providing their own electricity and faring against bandits, but while zombies are abundant in the rest of the world, they are nonexistent in these areas because they are just frozen statues outside. It is not decided yet if the virus travels purely by infection or also turns those who die (like The Walking Dead). This would be a survival based role play where members can build and create their own towns, join others, be loners, build the lore and history of their towns and safe places, and struggle with having to adapt to both the harsh and unforgiving weather while coping with the fall of society as a whole!
While I personally have a few anthro characters I envision in this world, I am toying with the idea of two different sections for the world and having two AUs of the same world, one for anthros and one for humans, so both types of writers and characters could be involved without making members uncomfortable having to have them interact! I would love any feedback on that!

I'm so happy seeing the attention this is getting! Depending on how many people continue to show support, I'll get the server up and running sooner than later, but I will start working on it in the meantime !

TheStrayCat I'd love to do some beta testing, if you're still looking! (Although if it ends up being 18+, I'll have to pass) I would probably be RPing mostly on the human side (would it only be pure humans, or would humanoids work? [I'd love to RP an elf girl if she'd be allowed]), but I could also RP on the anthro side.
I've been rather bad at keeping up with writing lately, so I'm a bit rusty, but I'm a semi-literate to literate (I'm not sure where the line is exactly) roleplayer with several years of experience.

I have already started setting up anthro and human roles, but I didn't consider more humanoids! I think that they would be allowed, because I am really looking fir a place to be as inclusive to as many people as possible to come have fun and hang out ^^ Members will have to request the anthro or human roles to see those categories, just so anyone uncomfortable with either won't be able to see them!
I am sure your writing would be fine, the rules haven't been typed up yet but role playing immediately won't be required, so people can just hang out til they get used to the lore and the people before popping in! Again, I am aiming for a place to inspire people's creativity as much as I can
