Welcome to The F2U Shelter (TFS)! We take designs from donors and collect them. Then, they are allowed to be used by anyone!
Essentially, they are put into the public domain. There's no limit to how many people use/upload them.
This thread is still under construction, so bear with us!
We also need a better name, I think.
SUBMITTING DESIGNS
- There is NO LIMIT to how many you can submit! The more the merrier!
- To submit a design/outfit, transfer the character(s) to this account, or dm me the full image(s).
- Designs will be uploaded as a character to this account, with all images unwatermarked. You will be credited for the character/art.
- All designs submitted become public domain. They may be used in any way, shape, or form.
- All designs must a)be created by you, or b)you must ask the creator for permission to submit them.
DESIGN REQUIREMENTS AND RULES
- All designs must have at least one image; multiple images are appreciated! Color isn't required.
- Designs can be humanoid, outfits, anthro, feral, monsters, weapons, rooms, accessories, or anything in between.
- You don't have to create a full ref, but it's preferred. Headshots/busts are allowed.
- There are no requirements for art skill! You can be advanced, beginner, etc.
- All designs must be legible. Sketches are fine, but you will be asked to clean it up if the design is marred by the sketches.
- You may not submit designs that you've already sold/given. You may submit designs of yours, old OCs, ones that only you've used, etc.
What will get a design denied?
- Too sketchy and unclean (illegible)
- Belongs to someone else
USING DESIGNS
- All TFS characters uploaded to Toyhouse MUST be tagged with THEF2USHELTER.
- Do not save/upload art that you did not draw/commission; just because it's of a public design does not mean that art is yours!
- Copying other user's redesigns/changes/characters is strictly forbidden. Be creative. Do not use someone else's idea. You are only using the design, not the character.
- The designs can be used for anything, even if you're making profit off of it. Books, comics, anything.
- Re-upload characters to use them. Please credit this account as the creator when re-uploading, so that the original artist's gallery isn't spammed.
- If you would rather we re-upload and then transfer to you, let us know!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
- "Can I draw art of the characters, and have you upload it to the public gallery?" Yes! It will be sent with future uploads, and added to current uploads if the owners want.
- "Can I re-design characters?" Yes! New and old versions will be sent with future uploads.

I've been eyeing this a little since I participated in fanpro a bit; it's a cute idea to bring here. However I would either put a custom watermark denoting "f2u shelter original" or no watermark at all (all three just donated are watermarked, one quite heavily and another mostly unusuable)

And whoops! You're right, looks like I forgot to make sure all watermarks were removed after transfer. Thank you for reminding me! ^^;
I'll definitely consider the watermark idea, I think that it would be a good idea, especially if/when designs end up being used frequently in the future.

I'll most certainly take up your idea. I put a baseline rule on the whole generator folder that said to follow the rules of the original generator maker, but I think that linking to the rules on each individual character will be a better idea (in cases where applicable). As for Charat, I'm glad that they're compatible, since they're such a popular maker!

We're looking for a potential moderator(s)!
Basically, here's what you'd do:
-Log into the account.
-Explain the thread to those who have questions! Questions are often asked in character comments.
-Save the images of characters, and re-upload them to send to those who wish to use them. (All characters/art will be credited to this account; this is to avoid spamming the creator's gallery.)
-Periodically list a few of the account's characters as free when they fall off of the first page.
-All moderators would communicate a)through a Discord group, or b)in the comments of a blank "character" only visible to us.
You'll still be allowed to upload and use characters! (In fact, it would be encouraged that you upload/use characters to support the thread!)
