I think they would fit pretty well into my fanmade backrooms level as a docile entity. They will exclusively hangout near bodies of water, which are very rare to come by in the level, thus making them a rare encounter. They are also a merchant, and would try to sell the traveller(s) that stumble across them stuff that they mark as "useless and only for decorations," for typically common items found in the level, like small rocks. But really, the "useless" things are very helpful and common necessities for surviving the backrooms. They won't try to convince anyone to take the offer if they reject, though.
I will probably try to write more/revisit the wording later if i do get them, since I don't have much time on my hands rn
