Suggestion: Make .gif size limit bigger

Its the lowest of any site I use. Here I think its only like 500kb. I struggle to get anything on here without destroying the quality. I'm not sure why the gif size limit is so small when the image size limit it pretty massive.

although as a temporary solution you can upload a still and submit the full gif to imgur or something and then link it in the caption

I have two 3+MB sized gifs uploaded with no problems here and here; I'm pretty sure the gif limit is the same as the normal image limit. I mean you can't do too much with 4MB regardless (we need apngs or webms which both have better compression algorithms , tbh), but it's certainly not 500kb...?
