Warnings & Stuff

Alright, so I don't really think my profile needs a complete warning so how do you go about giving warnings on personal characters? And what qualities at needing a warning? Like do skeleton or skull themed characters require a warning? How do you determine if the character itself needs a warning.

I think I have one character that heavily features gore art and gore and occasionally sensitive subject art doesn't bother me.

So I'm basically looking for advice or tips on this. It would be a bonus if we could talk on Discord over this or else my replies will be late as I won't see it.

You can put individual character warnings by going on the character's profile and clicking "Manage Character" > "Warnings"

Content warnings are used to warn viewers about any triggering and/ or sensitive content. In other words, if your character features any kind of content that most people might find distressing/ upsetting, then it should have a warning. I have a profile warning snippet here with already listed sensitive subjects that would normally warrant a warning, but you should use your own judgment. How I usually determine if something needs a warning is by asking myself "would I be comfortable talking about these subjects with a young child and would they be comfortable listening to me talk about it?" If yes, I would put a warning just in case; if not, then it's probably safe to just leave it as is.

I think skeletons and skulls are fine. I mean one of my skeleton characters is a Minecraft skeleton horse. I think I have only character that features any of those and I have a warning set for them.

Hey there! Regarding character warnings, you should always tag the following accordingly in both character profiles and in images:

Neon / Vibrant colours

Familial disputes or issues, domestic abuse among those topics.

^ Abuse of any kind should be tagged as such!

Scars or wounds of any kind, including any kind of blood or gore- even if cartoonish sometimes.

NSFW or potentially sexual content should also be marked accordingly!

If characters are prone to dealing with death, are killed themselves, or are mourning the losses of loved ones: you should likely tag it if it may be considered worrying or graphic in some way.

Is there anyway you can view your own warning??

Hauntedrabb1t - If you log out / open in an incognito or private window, as long as your profile isn't marked to logged in users only, you'll be able to see it live! You could also use this if you want to see a live preview while editing it.

I'm honestly still not sure how to remove the entire profile warning 😅

It won't let me

To view your account profile warning, go here.
To disable it, toggle "Warning On" to "Warning Off" and hit "Update Warnings".

A skeleton or skull character probably wouldn't need to be tagged unless they were gorey (blood/guts as well as bones) or extremely realistic. Your gore character should be tagged even if its content doesn't bother you, though it sounds like you've done that already.

I think the ones that needed tagged with a warning the most was Hidebehind and Lochshade. I think as of now the latter oc has nothing triggering on her profile currently but her story would require a warning for darker themes.

I don't know if the characters with skulls are realistic.

Hi there, I hope it's okay for me to ask for help here since my problem is related to the thread topic :'D
There's a silly edgy fakemon I made years ago that I wanted to post on here, but I just realized its design probably needed a warning, especially with what I've read above.
I'll probably be putting a warning for eye injury and small amount of blood — here's an image of it, do y'all think it's fitting?
