does character inspired by album cover....

i guess, at least from my part, it depends. Are they just inspired or do they look like copies? Inspiration comes from many places and if they aren't carbon copies I believe it should be ok.

i think it still works like moodboard characters, though you’ll have to credit the cover in some way tho

1st of all:
AJR YES, the design is so pretty and creative! I love how you used all the floating instruments as design elements

Second of all:
Mostly just what others have said. You're using is as a source of inspiration, should be fine as long as you make it clear the design was inspired by the album cover. You could do an offsite creator with a link to the album, or maybe put the album cover in the corner of the design's image so people can see it :)
