How could it end up like this, it was only a kiss, it was only a kiss..

 "Mhmhm, mhmmmm."

The young girl spun around and sang, not paying any mind to anyone who looked at her. She was too happy to care.

As much as she loved the circus, Umeko was very excited, it was her first full day off in a week! The performer had been to and fro trying to make the performance spectacular every night, and so her parents believed she earned a day or two to herself. In such a big city, Umeko wasn't sure what places she would go to first, but she had enough time to take in the sights and go from there.

"What they say about heartland city is very true, it's beautiful and full of...Well, heart."

Unconsciously, Umeko took a alleyway for a shortcut, believing it would get her to the other shopping district faster.

The more she walked in, the smaller the noise from the city became suffocated. It made the somewhat dark and ominous alley a bit scary, but the circus performer had run into her fair share of odd places, and made sure to always come prepared. A small knife was kept in the back of her sock .

This alley wasn't so big, she could see the crowd once again come to light from the other side.

However, before Umeko could mentally plan out her shopping spree, she heard the sound of a small cry, which made her stiffen.

"What is that?" she frowned, eyes darting to find the source of the noise.

She could hear it come closer when she found the sad sobs connected to the corner of the alley wall, which connected to another alleyway she hadn't planned on taking.

Umeko initially thought it was of a wounded animal, but much to her shock it was of a girl, crying.

"Oh..." She wasn't sure what she could do to help, but she also couldn't let the young lady be here all by herself. So she approached her cautiously.

"Hey...What's wrong?"

(Changed the setting a bit if you don't mind)

At first when Sanji her adorable younger half-sister stepped down to let her have a chance. She was a bit not shocked, just amazed. Even though she knew Sanji also had a crush on Thomas she went ahead anyways. Most would probably judge her for this. Knowing your younger sibling likes the same guy you like.

It was terrible she knew but what she left she could no longer keep a secret and Sanji gave her the chance.

So when she set out to confess her feelings to Thomas she also picked a sort of romantic spot, a park near a river. What she didn’t prepare was the obvious rejection.

He didn’t stick around and left promptly. It was better that way. So he wouldn’t see her pathetically crying when the signs were all there who he liked. As if covering her mouth would stop her cries it only grew worse. Yes, she knew she was stupid.

Then all the sudden a voice called out to her. She hadn’t noticed the girl had walked up to her. Mitsuyo slightly looked up to face the girl and tried to answer her.

“I…I’m s-s-so stupid,” was all she could muster.
