"Have you arrived?"
"Yes."
"And is the target inside?"
"Yes, mother."
The voice on the other end of the line scoffed. "Don't get sassy with me, I told you this mission cannot afford to go wrong."
"Got it, got it." Kami snarled, hanging up the phone. "Jesus christ."
Embracing for the cool air of the night to hit his skin, Kami stepped out of the truck.
Fucking... the dreamy cursed, preparing all his tools for the job ahead.
It's not that he disliked Orion, that was his lifelong brother, even if not by blood. But the fact that he had set up this idea so quickly, Kami hardly had any time to prepare for it. And it wasn't a simple hit and run. Orion's instructions where to bring back the dreamy alive. Not something the sniper was used to, really.
But his boss and friend and explained that this was the type of edge they all needed.
"Now, for us to properly get ahead." Orion explain, Kami remembered sitting in his quiet but warm office, the smell of incense and wine entwining in the air. "We'll need a public face. But of course, we won't let them know of our true business right away. We must win the client's trust, have them shamelessly promote our cause."
Though the idea did sound plausible to Kami, he still wasn't sure if it'd work out.
And of course, keeping a victim alive? Where's the fun in that?
Can't believe you, bro. You do this to me, and expect me not to complain? He shook his head with a dry smile. he knew how much Kami loved to spill some blood.
But what Orion wants, Orion got.
So he loaded up his sniper, and grabbed the rope and tape, fastening it all to his back pocket.
Now the first part, would definitely be the hardest. This dreamy he was seeking, was a rather famous one. A model, if he had heard correctly.
Icarus...
Not a name Kami really knew, but he was never the guy to keep up with the latest buzz of celebrities.
"A'right. Hope he's asleep. It'll make it a lot easier on me."
How exactly to get in? This place looked rather secured, as any ritzy side of the city would be. Kami didn't bring his best security blocks, but of course, he was completely fine with the idea of using brutal force to make his way through.
scouting out the area for about ten minutes, Kami had to make sure he would be safe if he had to cause a scene, but also able to sneak in without having to resort to such right off the bat.
Surprisingly, security seemed a bit lax. He only counted about two or three guards prowling around.
it seemed that, the best course of action would be for him to take the weakest side of the gate up, the throw himself over quietly. Then Kami would have to make sure the guards don't hear him, at least till he made it to the front.
And he did just that, and the entire setup went without a hitch. He made sure the guards left the front entry before quietly going in and slipped up the main hall.
