💬 How tall should my character be or general size?

A majority of animals will be around average human sizes (5-6 ft), along in accordance to the animals irl size. 

For Instance, animals like bears, horses, and elephants are very large (6"3 to 7 ft respectfully) while animals like bees, salamanders, and mice would be very short (3 to 4'5 ft respectfully). Of course like in humans, there are outliers like you could have a tall mouse or a short horse. In general stay within this chart, unless your animal is originally very small (like a bee) or very large (like a whale).

💬 Does the AA server have roleplay channels?
On the forums is only where you’ll be able to RP. This is just to keep things tidy and neat! For me personally, I can’t stand too many channels in a server (drives me mad!) here on toyhouse allows you to go IC and OOC with ease & should be fairly comfortable once you get the hang of it. We do not have plans to change this at this current time. Our server does provide exclusive content the forums don’t provide, (ex: art, playlists, wips, oc development & more).

💬 My oc is feral, can I still join?
Yes, as long as you have an anthro form in the making, or imply they're one during RP. Almost all characters can join the world as long as they don’t have powers OR fantasy based.

💬 Is this becoming a game?
I had several concepts in mind, but nothings confirmed!

💬 Do I need to put trigger warnings?

Yes! Some content is triggering for people, specifically violent actions, so its important for you to be conscious of this! If your roleplay post has content that you think will be triggering, like verbal, emotional, or physical abuse, put a TW : (text) at the top of your post and spoiler the section.

💬 Can “unnatural” colored animals join? 
Yes! We just consider anything with blue, red, rainbow fur to be considered like hair dye- but fur dye. We made things this way to allow more openness.

💬 Do I have to be involed in RP?
Nope! Animal Academy is a project that is tended to in many ways, roleplay is absolutely optional. Just want to make characters for the group? All is fine!

💬 My character was accepted. Why can't I post on the RP threads?
As directed on the approval, you must request membership on the side of our page! It grants posting privileges. While your character is accepted, you aren't automatically. 

💬 Why is it that only members can post in the RP threads?
Membership means you're interested in engaging in RP, therefore have that access. 

💬 I don't have a toyhouse code, can I still join?
Yes! Our founder kindkeanu has invite keys, if you're lucky some of our mods have some spares for whenever the creator is offline. Please ping in the server if you need one and wait for a DM

💬 Do I have to join toyhouse to be involved in this project?
YES, toyhouse is required to be a full member! Toyhouse is a good character storage site, even if you join for the general purpose of this project, it comes in handy for a lot of things.

💬 Do I have to type (end) at the bottom of my RP post when I’m finished?
Yes! It shows that you’re officially done with rping in that spot previously. This helps clarify what’s open and okay to jump in

💬 Why does (end) exist?
It helps establish time and organization. If one character is in multiple threads, it can clog up whatever is your main priority. That’s why we recommend members have more than one character in Animal Academy, so that if you’re busy with one and would like to attend to other scenes you have a spare.

💬 I was told invitations were sent to my character but they're not there anymore. Why?
Within 3 days, you are able to accept the invitations for your character(s). Anything after that will be automatically canceled, it just tells us you've changed your mind upon joining, or have waited too long to accept the requests. If this is a mistake, please contact us and we will resend the invites!

💬 What's the community like here?
Animal Academy is extremely active with an established, welcoming community. We recommend others to join our server to get a good glimpse of how our community is before arrival if that's something of interest

💬 Does AA have a literacy level?
Animal Academy does not exclude anyone, we don’t require any RP samples and generally accept everyone as long as you can type a paragraph. For more regarding how roleplay works, check the thread here.

💬 What are the rules for character creation?
Think of something like zootopia! AA is strictly only anthropomorphic with loose restrictions. We do not look at the colors of your character but simply the species itself (hybrids are fine).  If your character has too many fantasy elements we ask you submit a different one.

💬 How long is the wait for characters to be accepted into the world?
Within 24 hours you should receive a message very soon! 

💬 Are we sharing dorms? Or just singles?
You can find a roommate for your character or not at all! Your preference. We also don't separate by gender, so nothings exclusive - this is really just an optional feature. It does not carry huge significance unless you plan to RP with someone in the Dorms thread.

💬 What hybrids are accepted?
Within reason, yes! We do not accept characters with wings, more than two eyes, multiple body parts, fantasy elements, etc. Original species are not accepted in AA.

💬 I want to join but I don't have a character yet. Is that okay?
Completely! We even have our own OC generator. Click here!
