This looks like a really cool idea! Thank you for making this!
Once upon a time, TH had its popular character section on the front page so that people could see which characters were the hottest on the block at that very moment. As the site grew, troll and joke characters started to take over and soon it became difficult to visit the front page without seeing a character that was causing some sort of ongoing controversy. Salt ensued.
Obviously, the mods removed the popular section from the front page and no longer allow it as an option. While it's for the best for the community, it still means there's not a particularly easy way to see which characters the community is interested in at the moment.
So, every week this thread will be showcasing some featured OCs! This is under construction, so rules and methods are likely to change in the future once we all figure out the best way to go about this.
Each week, we will have a few featured OCs. One will be chosen via poll in the thread, one will be chosen by myself, and then we will have a few other characters of note.
On to the housekeeping!
Thread Rules:
1. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. No salt allowed.
2. Please feel free to discuss characters within the thread, but again, do not be negative! No criticism unless the user specifically requests concrit.
3. More rules will be added as needed, let's try to keep this a nice place to be.
The Process:
Every week I'll crack open the inbox and take a peek at all the suggested OCs. A random 5 to 10 characters will be plucked out and put up in a poll for everyone to vote on, and the winner will become that week's Thread Feature. I will select one character to be that week's Mod Feature. Then there may be a few additional characters of interest. Maybe there can be themes later on for the additional features, such as profile layouts.
Submission Rules:
You can't nominate just any character; we have some criteria that the character must meet in order to be nominated.
1. May not be your own character
2. Must be at least 5 days old (upload date)
3. Must have at least 3 pieces of artwork
4. May not have a completely blank profile
5. May not be NSFW... sorry, let's keep the thread for everyone!*
6. You may only submit one character per week
*We may feature some NSFW characters in future features with tags, but we'll see how things go.
How to Submit:
Simply send this account a PM with the character you think deserves to be featured. You must include at least 2-3 sentences explaining your choice.
Features will be posted every Monday, so this first week will be a little bit shorter.
Please feel free to ask any questions, make suggestions, chat, and nominate some characters!

Congratulations! Suni has an impressive profile with plenty of detail that I personally really enjoyed reading. Not only does Suni have a developed profile and plenty of cute art, but you can tell this character is well-loved. All of the trivia included in their profile really gives you a deeper glimpse into their personality. I had never seen this character before and I can now say I'm a big fan!

I've never seen a character like this and honestly I fell in love immediately. I believe this character was made based off of a deceased pet, and... well, how can you not love that? It's a super touching idea plus the art is extremely adorable. Legit never seen a bug drawn so cute and lovely.

It kind of stinks that it needs at least 3 images though, as someone could write a lot for that character or have a really through bio and they couldn't be featured.

Sent in a feature suggestion just now, but I figured I'd toss a thread suggestion in while I'm here as well! Perhaps somewhere on the first post there could be a section with links to the posts of previous week's features, like in a spoiler box or something, to make them easier for people to find them as the thread gets bigger, so they can look through previous weeks' characters without having to comb through the thread and can instead just click a link to the post c: Something like this, perhaps?
