"Post-War Regime" Novel
Chapter I - High-school Life in Edgewood High School [March 2091]
A three-way novel story. It’d basically be told from three different perspectives and how the totalitarian regime affects them on a personal level. Ryuuri, being clumsy as hell with her close friend Valentina, which sees the future and has an abusive mother. Katsuhito who’s been backstabbed by a lot of people and pushes people away from him, however, having Sadahiko as a best friend, his mentor which is struggling with maths, offering him the most support he can give and Andrew, whose ancestors were part of the government during the Sibuachou days and is seen as suffering horribly, with his best friend, Bridgette, who’s the daughter of an ex-soldier, Lilith.
Protagonists: Ryuuri Inamori | Katsuhito Higuruma | Andrew Shigetsuna-Himura
Sidekick: Valentina Tairiku | Sadahiko Hayata | Bridgette Strongblossom
Important Characters: Maxwell Akagi-Fujio, Toshiyuki Agawa, Trinity Granger | Yuri Horiike, Tetsuo Yamamura, Ryūshi Sasaki | Chyou Shigetsuna
Miscellaneous Characters: Atasuke Obuchi, Francie Himura, Mio Umehara
Sibuachou gets turned into the South Gliman Empire, authoritarian monarchy being part of the country, but upon Hirst becoming a ruler, everything changes - it changes from a monarchy to totalitarianism - respectively, a new political idea/practice - Scholarism, ruled under Leo Hirst. What does this totalitarian regime consist of? Well, as the name says, it’s based on getting as good grades as possible. The smarter you are, the better you’ll be in life, that’s the belief. If you have not graduated elementary/middle and highschool, and don’t have a bachelor’s degree at least, you would not have rights and not get any money. You’d be left to die. It is returning to how Anserines used to be - strict, high expectations from students, otherwise they wouldn’t succeed.
Leo Hirst has imposed the Constitution of 2090 which was a transitory constitution from a democratic empire, to a totalitarian empire. The Constitution of 2091 made the regime be settled once and for all. What about the neurodivergent students? You see, Leo barely gives them accommodations - it’s just extra time for them, otherwise nothing, really. This regime extends upon every country from the continent, as a result of Hirst’s influence over them. Of course, some other characteristics are - to not defy the president, censorship was everywhere, no rights to express yourself, nationalism.
Chapter II - Adulthood [March 2095]
Protagonists: Ryuuri Inamori, Andrew Shigetsuna-Himura, Katsuhito Higuruma
Sidekicks: Valentina Tairiku, Sadahiko Hayata, Bridgette Strongblossom
Miscellaneous: Maxwell Akagi-Fujio, Toshiyuki Agawa, Trinity Granger, Yuri Horiike, Tetsuo Yamamura, Ryūshi Sasaki, Chyou Shigetsuna, Minato Himura, Atasuke Obuchi, Francie Shigetsuna-Himura, Mio Umehara
Nothing interesting happens here, other than the three protagonists getting enrolled in their desired universities, and dealing with adulthood through the harsh regime. More like the transitory years between high school and the revolution of 2100.
Chapter III - The End To End All Ends [June 2100]
Protagonists: Ryuuri Inamori, Andrew Shigetsuna-Himura
Sidekicks: Valentina Tairiku, Sadahiko Hayata, Bridgette Strongblossom, Katsuhito Higuruma
Antagonists: Leo Hirst
Andrew wants his country back and after meticulous planning, with the help of Ryuuri’s, the two come up with a plan. A revolution. A way to wake up against Leo’s regime and get rid of it! How have they come up with the plan? A lot of thinking. But finally, they will execute it. Telling citizens of how they’re brainwashed is one step. Of course, it worked in the city they live now in - namely “Intellectual Paradise”. The citizens have agreed with them but one of them, in particular, Mio Umehara, snitched on the entire city and got arrested a bunch of people, including some side-characters such as Bridgette Strongblossom and Sadahiko Hayata. Of course, Katsuhito didn’t like it and ran away in fear! He will get Sadahiko out of jail somehow! And, considering how the citizens weren’t going to back off, they decided to spread the message all across the South Empire, reaching out to millions of people, and leading up to a revolution. The Revolution of September 2100. The one which would end totalitarianism in this country.
It had obviously been a bloody hell, particularly because people supporting the revolution were shooting people against it, and vice-versa. It came to the point of the cops shooting civilians - Katsuhito dying from a bullet. Ultimately, it ended up with Ryuuri shooting the president and his descendants, due to being clumsy. She tripped and “accidentally” shot them. Valentina and Andrew haven’t backed off either, and shot cops too! And finally, the country has been non-Constitutional, meaning there’s no constitution taking place. Valentina is also injured and anybody who had been put in jail previously, was taken out of it - Bridgette and Sadahiko are free!
Sadahiko finds out his best friend died and starts to break down. A funeral dedicated to him is made. Some time later, Andrew applies for a politician job position, and gets it, alongside Ryuuri and Valentina.
What will happen next? It’s an open-ended story, so it’s up to the ‘reader’ to interpret.
