i wont be able to do every thing ( cant do most bugs or some sea animals, sorry they make me nervous/uncomfortable LMAOO) but i will try to do most of the stuff you suggest! /EXTINCT ANIMALS ARE ALLOWED/

this is a thread to help myself and others get inspired for character design. Please feel free to suggest animals and/or info dump about them!(all info you share will be put in spoilers!)

just a reminder that these animals might not be obscure for you depending on where you live or what you've seen, but they may be for me or others!

How about the Hyrax? I only learned about them somewhat recently and they’re the closest living relatives to elephants… although you probably wouldn’t guess from how they look lol. They’re so chill-looking, though.- suggested by Wingspan

43.Haast's eagle /EXTINCT/

HEHHE IVE BEEN LEARNING ABOUT THESE. The Haast's Eagle went extinct round about 1400 most likely due to their main food scource ( the moa) going extinct ( the moa went extinct due to overhunting). It was the largest eagle to have ever existed, their wing span was 2-3 m wide and had an estimated weight of 15 kgs( in comparison to the stellar's sea eagle which can be up to 9kgs!)

1800 as i mentioned above this, the stellars sea eagle can be up to 9 kgs ( the females are larger than the males, males go to be about 6 kgs i believe)
