Running an OC question of the day thread is rough because you always want to answer your own questions, but by the time you have the time it's been a week and you have a bunch of other questions! Not to mention that your questions always have to be pretty general: "what's your OCs' favorite colors" is easy enough for someone with 10 OCs, but there are loads of people who have OCs in the triple digits and beyond!
But y'know what's awesome? Shindan is awesome. I spent last night working on a bunch of options and whipped up a Shindan that will ask you a question to a specific OC every day!

Blacking out some stuff because some people might find it a little disturbing lol. Eshelle is a gladiator so she's been through quite a lot of rough things. But her worst injury came from the experiment done her that involved the harvesting of her bone marrow.

Hype is an alright teacher, it really depends on the subject how good she is at it and how much she enjoys it. She like teaching math, magic, and language the most. Science and art aren't really her things. But she's fine teaching literature.

Q: Do they keep a lot of secrets or are they an open book?
so i think that's probably thatcher like, almost certainly. he doesn't like attracting unwanted attention whatsoever, and unless he's going out of his way to be social, he would really prefer people leave him alone entirely. attention usually brings questions, and those questions are usually either about things he doesn't want to answer, or lead to other questions about things he won't want to answer -- "Why are you drinking so much?" "Where did you get those scars?" -- so he typically just... tries to lay low.
and i think my explanation up there already touched on the answer to this question: yes, he absolutely keeps secrets. he is a book that is under lock and key -- the key is hidden, and he's left a note about its whereabouts in his living will, so that the lock will only open once he's gone.
this is also a bit literal? he considers his journal his legacy. it holds all of his story and some of those that unfolded around him -- the stories of people he's not sure anyone else remembers, and he wants to keep their memory alive in some way. he doesn't want anyone to read it while he's alive but he plans to leave a note on his body asking whoever finds it to read it and maybe take it to candlekeep because it contains information that could be important, useful, or dangerous and thus is best suited to being kept by the scholars there.
however, if he's smart, he'll start opening up... he really needs to start healing, and if he doesn't talk about it, he never will.

Q: How would they react to being insulted by a stranger?
ooohhh okay so this almost has to be harper? he's not exactly outright evil or anything, but he does worship an evil goddess (Beshaba, Maid Misfortune, goddess of accidents and bad luck), and certainly isn't aligned to being good at all. he'll do evil actions if he feels like they're needed (he has a very The Strong Survive type attitude, adopted from goblin society) or would encourage small misfortunes (and thus lay groundwork for his goddess wherever he goes). that said he'll also do good things when they suit him; so not the evil-est guy in the world or anything, but of my characters, definitely the most willing to do evil.
i'm not exactly sure! it hasn't come up yet, but i have a feeling that he'd most likely take in in stride - laugh it off, or chock it up to a bit of bad luck on his end. misfortune doesn't discriminate, after all - if he tried to avoid his own bad luck, he'd kind of be committing a sacrilegious act. i don't think he'd really take it badly, even if he did take it to heart as criticism.

Addy doesn't want to use her status as leader as anything but a reason for others to listen to her. She gains no pleasure from her authority status. Rather, she'd love to pass off responsibility to one of her coworkers if it was GUARENTEED that they could handle it. But most of them couldn't - she's the only one who understands the science behind the cure, as well as how it works against the zombies...
Also yeah, Addy has always taken her studies so seriously that she really doesn't understand meme culture since she never really went online besides for researching academic papers and the like.

I hadn’t thought about my ocs relationships with bugs before. After thinking a bit, I picked Mac! You would think someone who is a zombie wouldn’t care much about bugs, but they freak Mac out. As such, they make sure their body is embalmed and bug free!
A: In Mac’s opinion, sufficient “formalwear” is any outfit that involves a button down shirt and tie. So according to Mac, their normal outfit is formalwear, and they wear it all the time, thank you very much. However, if someone were to force them into a traditional suit, they would hate it. They would say “It’s because my undead body is fragile so don’t force it into pants” but they hated it when they were alive too. They also don’t really like most dresses. In conclusion, they dislike wearing traditional formalwear.

that would be foxglove. since he's added the last names of all the families he's become a part of in one way or another to his name, when he was married, his full name became Foxglove Underoak-Bentebriar-Kerry-Silverkin, and that's not even including his birth name of Sadeirakri'sha Harllorug.
he's not in a world where they'd have modern technology as we know it so i'll have to speculate - i think he would be a little... behind the times, haha. his daughter would probably constantly be having to be like "no, dad, that's not -- no, dad, wait, you have to do it like -- dad please -- " and then he'd also be like, leaving those charming but embarrassing dad-tier comments on things. like, stuff like this:

she'd be taken aback, for sure! depending on how mean the stranger was being, her reaction would probably range from nervous laughter (mild, but still off-putting) to "um....do i know you?" (slightly harsh, maybe they've mistaken her for someone else?) to having to just...angrily walk off, blinking away angry tears (if they like....get way too mean/personal)

that's thatcher hands down, no question at all. any sudden movement/sound can send him flying out of his skin in seconds.
for the most part, no, he doesn't -- when people start asking questions and you start answering them, it'll only encourage more questions, and eventually it'll be about things he'd rather not anyone even bring up. if he's, for whatever reason, really trying to get to know someone, he'll answer questions about himself, just carefully so. otherwise he can be pretty cagey about it.
