Kodiak seems to soften just so slightly seeing Vivianos' hurt look. He sighed, "Sorry, kid. It's just how I am."

"KODI KODI KODI!!! I FOUND A PRETTY BEETLE!! WANNA SEE WANNA SEE WANNA SEE?"

"I told you to stop picking up strange things, Taro. And stop calling me Kodi." Kodiak's tone was a lot softer than it was with older mothcats. It seems the rumor of a soft spot for younger mothcats might be based in truth.

"Koooodiiiii, why don't you like the naaames I give you???"

Daku shakes their head. "The luminosity being emitted from the fungi protruding out of my cranium is no irritation to my slumber.  I have the ability to decrease the amount of light it produces if I so desire."
