Art Requirements
A Guest Artist must have a decent grasp on bird anatomy and be able to draw plants.
Other Requirements
We suggest sending in sketches and concepts before finishing any adoptables, since designs might need to be changed. These can be sent to the group OR directly to the founder.
Finished designs must be reviewed by the Founder and logged to the Masterlist, so please don't release them or show a preview before they've gotten approved.
Guest Artists must decide whether their adopts can be resold for any price OR resold for the collective amount spent on the character, including commissions and the original price. Different adopts in the same batch can have different tags. Tags are 'ANY' and 'COLLECTIVE' and will be noted in each Owl's masterlist entry, and must clearly be displayed in the sale description.
Guest Artists must also decide whether to allow buyers to redesign the owl or not. This will be noted in each Owl's masterlist entry, and must clearly be displayed in the sale description.
Batch Info
Batches must be between 1 and 6 total adoptables. 1 additional adopt can be made if the GA decides to do a raffle.
GAs can use a base, so long as it's one the GA made themselves.
A Guest Artist can use unlimited Common, Uncommon and Rare Traits, up to three total Magical Traits, and up to three total Unusual Traits per batch.
Scheduling and Deadlines
Batches must be finished by the 20th of the month a Guest Artist's scheduled slot is in, and released between the 10th and the 25th of that month.
There are two total Guest Artist slots every month. You can request a specific month, up to three months in advance, assuming that month has slots left.
Slots are only scheduled three months in advance.
If a Guest Artist cannot complete their design(s) by the deadline, either another Guest Artist can fill the slot, OR there will be a short Travelling Shop event if there is no time to get a replacement Guest Artist.
Guest Artists must wait at least four months before signing up again.
Selling Terms
Guest Artists can sell adopts however they want, and keep all the profits. GAs cannot keep any of the adoptable designs however.
Nardeae Owls are a pretty small and new CS, so GAs can advertise their adopts however they want, in addition to being advertised in the group.
Please send ohdeerymeee a note when you release your adopts, so they can be listed in the Official Adoptables forum.
GAs can crosspost between Toyhouse and Deviantart, or just use one.
Guest Artist Rewards
In addition to keeping all profits, GAs also receive one MYO slot, the tier of which depends on how many adopts they made and whether or not they raffled one off.
Regular Payouts
- 1-3 Adopts = T4 MYO +1 Unusual Trait Voucher
- 4-6 Adopts = T5 MYO +1 Unusual Trait Voucher
If a GA decides to raffle off one adoptable for free, regardless of how many adopts they made, they get these rewards:
- T6 MYO + 2 Unusual Trait Vouchers
