MYO Guide:

What is a MYO?

A MYO (Make-Your-Own) is a ticket that allows you to design your very own Gupuppy! Each ticket has a rarity which allows you to choose traits from that rarity and below (An Uncommon MYO ticket can have Uncommon, and Common traits, but may not have Rare.)

How do I get a MYO

MYO tickets go on sale at semi-regular intervals. Otherwise, tickets may be bought for in-game currency at The Tackle Shop, earned through group challenges and activities, or they may be given out as rewards for participating in events. Trading for tickets with other users is also 100% acceptable! Just remember, you cannot sell slots that you got through a trade, or as a gift; you may only sell MYO tickets that you have spent real-life currency on!

Getting Started:

MYO Rarities:

There are 5 classes of MYO ticket for Gupuppies and Swampstomps; Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, and Mutation. Each ticket may use traits from the slot's rarity and down. Platycats and Avi-avis do not have trait rarities, therefore there is only one type of MYO ticket.

Available Traits to use by MYO Ticket rarity:

  • Common Ticket: Common
  • Uncommon Ticket: Uncommon, Common
  • Rare Ticket: Rare, Uncommon, Common
  • Legendary Ticket: All traits
  • Mutation Ticket: All traits, must have 1 mutation; only 1 mutation per ticket. Additional mutations can be acquired later!

Once you've figured out what kind of slot you have, you can start with finding those traits.

Once you've chosen your traits, you can also add any potion effects or other add-ons you'd like your new buddy to have!

Designing

There are many, MANY Gupuppy traits, so first of all you need to determine what kind of ticket you have!

Next, you can check the Anatomy 101 and Traits tab (here) to decide on your traits and check up on your anatomy!

Remember there are some basic rules to your MYO to keep in mind:

GUPUPPY MANDATORY TRAITS:

  • Big chonky fish tail
  • Round boopable nose
  • Mane around neck
  • Bigger front paws than back
  • At least 2 ears, and must have eyes
  • Big round skulls
  • Quad and biped form (Plantigrade or Digitigrade acceptable)
  • Small teeth and claws
  • If you picked one up and squeezed them, there would likely be no sharp bits poking you at all. The only danger is if the gupuppy takes exception to being treated like a stuffie.

SWAMPSTOMP MANDATORY TRAITS:

  • Biped form default (Plantigrade or Digitigrade acceptable; can also be quad, but uncomfortable for long periods of time, unlike GPs)
  • Bigger front paws than back
  • At least 2 ears, and must have eyes
  • Snout (like a horse or moose)
  • Strong aquatic tail, does not need to be fish-shaped. (ex: alligators, eels)
  • Generally should be big, can be cute or scarybois
  • Larger claws than Gupuppies
  • Big canines (top and/or bottom), at least 2 must stick out from lips
  • Mane/bubble around neck. (Adding fur/bubble along the back and tail’s length is optional.)
  • Sleek long bodies, good for swimming and hunting large prey

Once you've selected your traits and verified your MYO meets the species requirements as described above, you can submit them for approval!

Getting Approved

Wow! So, you're all done, your traits and colors are chosen and you're face to face with a new critter to call your own! You're nearly finished now! All that needs to be done is to verify with an Angler (a mod) that your new friend is ready to mingle with the others. You have a couple of options- you can submit them to the thread in Toyhou.se World Forum(you are here), or you can post in the Discord server's approval channel (the best way imo, if you're not in the Discord yet, the link can be found right here).

You will need to include the proof of where you got your MYO ticket along with your finished and colored image. We need at least a fully colored full body in order to approve a design- it does not need to be shaded. Traditional and Digital art is accepted, but any AI art is strictly forbidden. If we find out you submitted a piece of AI art, you will be blacklisted from the group without any warnings issued.

Submitting to the Masterlist

There is NO DeviantArt group for Gupuppies. The Masterlist will be tracked in a Google Doc. Once your Gupuppy is approved, you can either submit your character to the TH world, or you can use the form on Discord. They will end up in the same place.
