PMDW Pokemon Trait List

Due to the lack of human intervention in our world, Pokémon here seem to exhibit some very strange traits, while some are rarer than others! All traits are expressed in a genome sequence (Ex: ss/Nn/Dd) and while some may not be seen in a design, they will be present in the genome. These genome sequences can be viewed prior to breeding to try to get the appropriate Pokémon genome sequences you are hoping to see! We see all types, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask on this thread!

All Pokémon will have the same beginning genome letters, two S's and two N's will be present and separated by a / to represent another trait. One of the most common genomes is ss/Nn, where we see the lack of the shiny trait and a standard Pokémon. Anything that follows these four letters is an additional trait, such as ss/Nn/Dd, or a standard delta Pokémon.

If a letter is lowercase, this means one parent did not pass on that gene to the offspring, and as such might not pass along the gene to their own offspring unless another capitalized gene is present, ie: dd vs Dd, with the latter not passing along the genes at all and the former having a chance to do so.

Not Rated: Standard

Common: Shade, Fawn, Delta, Fusion, Variant, Regional

Uncommon: Shiny, Restricted, Albinism, Melanism, Mega

Rare: Domesticated, Feral, Resized, Gigantamax

Standard Pokémon || Nn || Standard Pokémon are what we consider as the breed standard and are shown almost exclusively as they appear in the game data. Standard Pokémon are allowed to have small spots or slight striping in order to create some uniqueness among members of the same species

>Shade Pokémon || NN || Shade Pokémon appear darker than their standard counter parts and sport a slightly darkened color scheme in appearance.

>Fawn Pokémon || nn || Fawn Pokémon appear lighter than their standard counter parts and sport a slightly diluted color scheme in appearance.

Shiny Pokémon || SS/Ss/ss || Shiny Pokémon can sport all colors beyond the breed standard and can be represented in any color beyond how they appear in the game data. the Shiny trait is still affected by the fawn and shade traits and will express these traits as they do in standard Pokémon.

Regional Variants || EE/Ee || Pokémon that have regional variations can only occur if found naturally or one or more parents in a breeding is a regional variant. There is no way for two Kanto Ponta to create a Regional Ponyta in a breeding. Now if either parent has the Ee gene, any offspring may exhibit any regional form they have access to, including our fan made regional variants.

Restricted ||+R || The restricted trait restricts color from a Pokémon's coat, or the physical presence of one Pokémon in a fusion. Pokémon fusions won't be 100% restricted but can be up to about 75% restricted in their physical appearance.

>Albinism || +RA || Albinism completely sucks all the color from a Pokémon's coat, creating an all-white, cream or eggshell colored Pokémon. The eyes and flesh on these Pokémon are always a reddish, rose, or pink color.

>Melanism || +RM || Melanism completely fills the pigmentation on a Pokémon's coat, creating an all-black, charcoal, or onyx colored Pokémon. The eyes and flesh on these pokemon are always a plum, raisin or wine color.

Delta Pokémon || DD/Dd || When the delta gene is present, the typing of a Pokémon has changed whether it is from water to fire or grass to steel. These typing differences effect the way Pokémon express their type in a physical manner. when present as Dd, the Pokémon exhibits the new typing and some small physical changes. When present as DD, large physical changes can be seen!

Fusion Pokémon || When two Pokémon are fused together. This effects the way Pokémon are presented, their typing and even their egg type, usually gaining one of each from either parent. the fusion genes are split between one another with a double //. The easiest way to gain a fusion is by breeding or using a gene splicer.

Variant Pokémon || VV/Vv || This Pokémon displays markings different than the standard Pokémon, and do not differ from the colors already found on said Pokémon, whether it be lighter or darker than the base color. Some variants also can pass down very specific marks that will show on offspring

>Piebald || Vv+Pi || Large White or Cream markings cover all other markings on the Pokémon, and ranges from minimal (25%) to a majority (75%) of the Pokémon

>Merle || Vv+Mr || Creates sporadic patches and spots on a Pokémon's coat that do not differ far from the Pokémon's base coat.

>Roan || Vv+Ro || Roan creates a sort of greyed outlook on a Pokémon's body and leaves the extremities the normal base color. Small pock marks are also acceptable, showing through the grey areas down to the base.

>Freckled || Vv+Fr || Freckles act different than spots, and can appear anywhere on a Pokémon, but is usually more concentrated on their extremities. Freckles usually appear darker than the base.

>Skunk || Vv+Sk || Skunk Stipes are usually white, cream, black or dark chocolate and act as a stripe that goes from the head to the base of the tail following the fur pattern. The minimum length a skunk stripe can be is to the stomach

Mega Pokémon || MM/Mm || Said Pokémon is able to change into their mega form at will, provided they have a mega form and are at the appropriate evolution to do so.

Domesticated Pokémon || ViVi/Vin || Domestic Pokémon are Pokémon who have been bred by human hands before either coming to Elysium by their selves or were released here on purpose. They show many signs of domestication like flopped ears, shorter fur, curled tails and shorter snouts. Some Pokémon even stand on their hind legs!

Feral Pokemon || ScSc/Scn || Feral Pokémon are Pokémon whose ancestors have never known the touch of human hands, so much so that they have developed different traits! They have very prominent nails, large fangs, longer fur and in some cases, they walk on all fours!

Resized Pokémon || RiRi/Rin || Resized Pokémon are either taller or longer, or they are shorter or smaller than their usual standard counterparts. The difference is usually in their body and leg length. Sometimes Pokémon show shorter legs and longer bodies, or vice vera.

Gigantamax Pokémon || Gi: % || Gigantamax Pokémon, for those that have said form, have the ability to harness the powers of nature and grow themselves in size and change their form at will to their Gigantamax forms. They are represented in a percentile that breeds down by quarters: 100%, 75%, 50%, 25% in the bloodline. Anything lesser will not result in the possibility of a Gigantamax Pokémon in a breeding.
