PMD: Wonder Experience and Levels
~~~~~~
Experience and Levels should be recorded on the individual Pokémon's information section
Experience Points
Throughout your Pokémon's journey, it will begin to accumulate experience points, which will translate directly into levels for said Pokémon! To gain these experience points, you simply have to write or draw for them! Each piece of art and literature is worth a specific amount, and the more you do, the more your Pokémon gains! It will be your responsibility to keep track of your Pokémon's experience and levels in an experience log. You may use [this example] as a template or a guide, but all literature and art must be recorded here to count towards your Pokémon's levels. When logging art in an experience log, all bonuses must be listed. This is to make it easier for those who are going through to confirm your Pokémon's evolution among other things.
Any other art?
Of course, not all art is cut and dry into these two categories, and we want to encourage creativity! If you create a piece of art that does not fit into these categories or isn't your usual 'paper and pen' artwork, please feel free to post it here! We love to see new artworks and 3D sculptures and more! You could be rewarded handsomely with EXP and have that new artwork category posted up in the EXP Journal!
EXP via Literature
You also have an option to write if you prefer not to do art.
1 word = 2 EXP
For example, 1,200 words would be 2,400 EXP, enough for a level 1 Pokemon to jump up to level 14!
However, a story must be one continuous story, and must make sense from beginning to end. It would be fine if multiple stories link up, but each one must have a direct beginning and ending.
All Pokémon present will gain the EXP as long as they are a relevant part of the story from beginning to end in order to collect the full amount. Simply being mentioned will not get them any EXP.
Bonuse EXP
Collaborations: 250 EXP || Two or more people work together on a piece. Bonus applies to Pokémon owned by you and the other member
Gift: 250 EXP || Only applies to the Pokémon being gifted the art piece. Does not apply if the artwork is any form of payment
Mission Prompt: 500 EXP || Only applies to the Pokémon you are submitting in the prompt and can only be added once per piece (Whether or not it is a comic. One bonus for the whole page) This includes main or side missions.
Leveling Up
As they appear in the games, Pokémon also need a specific number of EXP points to gain each level, but how do you know how many EXP go into each level? Here is a chart for how much EXP it takes to get from Level 1 to Level 100.
Any Pokémon traded for, found out in the wild, or collected in any way with levels will automatically have the minimum EXP it costs to get to that number of levels.
Please note, this is not how much it takes to get to the next level, but simply how much is needed in total.
