Genetics and Reproduction

Due to the unique breeding of the drakkari, hybrids are fully possible, no matter the size of your drak. Each type has four hybrids that can produce both a main elemental ability and a secondary ability of the other type. The secondary element must be taught and trained, of course.

Poisondrak | Vinedrak | Frostdrak | Chlorophyldrak

Ecology and Habitats

Natural Abilities: agile and quick, able to climb just about anything. Plantdraks move like lizards in a twisting, rocking gait. They can be fast in a sprint, but do not have a lot of stamina or endurance.

Elemental Abilities: Plantdraks can spit a sticky substance that looks like chewed up plant matter. The older draks can solidify the substance into sharp projectiles and spit them with surprising speed like an arrow.

Social Structure

Plantdraks are cheerful creatures and generally positive with whatever comes their way. They are kind, protective and very mothering towards smaller creatures. They make excellent gardeners, instinctively knowing how to care for most plants native to Cecatl. They can easily be trained to care for non-native flora as well.

Most plantdraks can learn to parrot words and phrases, though generally not on que. Be warned, they pick up words extremely quickly. Mentally, draks are about the intelligence of a canine or 2-3 year old child.

Visual Characteristics

Often hang upside-down from branches like sloths, plantdraks enjoy climbing just about anything from the trees outside to the walls of your house. Be sure to keep plenty of climbing 'furniture' if you intend to house a plantdrak. They're much like big cats, so heavy, but fast. Generally not very high endurance, but can be trained up.
