Kai Jia VictoryDrawsStuff

Time to start of this thread with my OC Kai Jia. After the battle of Shanghai and with the Chinese losing,,,he seems to be having a breakdown about how the Chinese were so inefficient at the time of battle that they lost the city that he calls home so he loses faith in all the governments of China,,, (This is Sino Japanese War times, after Battle of Shanghai!)

Did I mention this is why he has an ripped insignia of his army because of having a breakdown after the battle?

Wraith Stormheart SpiritdragonRyuu

Wraith tilted his head at the sound of someone who seemed to be having a crisis, following the sound he came across a soldier who had his head in his hands as he sat down against a ally wall. After checking the surrounding area for other people and seeing none, the shifter cautiously approached. "Hey, are you okay?" He said putting his hands up, showing he had nothing in them, the last thing he wanted to do was startle someone who could be armed.

He observed the stranger noticing the torn insignia on their uniform. "You're a long way from home." He said dropping his hands down, with the combination of the soldier muttering about governments, how the army lost their city and the insignia; the scarred man had a pretty good idea on what had happened. Wraith sighed and leaned against the wall opposite the soldier, crossing his arms over his chest and head bowed, offering a silent comfort and allowing the other to vent to him without the fear of being judged or interrupted.

---------------------------------------------

Follow Up:

Wraith was unaware of his surrounding, his mind clouded with fear and anger as his memories took over. Everyone who approached him felt like an enemy to the shifter, which made him lash out at anyone who got close. He wrapped his arms around himself, nails digging into his upper arm before he felt someone pull him into a hug. At first he tried to get away but eventually realized who it was and just started crying, no that he had no one to fight, all of the built up emotions spilled out.

Andrea LuluToro

The helk's ears perked up as soon she heard screams. She ran to investigate, only to see Wraith sobbing very loudly, not to mention showing aggression at anyone who passed by him. Andrea knelt down to the swifter, assuring him when he threatened self-harm, the helk also hugged him like several precious times. "It'll be fine, just ignore the trauma and stay in the hug." Andrea comforted him, giving him pats on his back, the hybrid flicked her tail several times in case someone approached the two. Just to noticed that Wraith passed out on her fluffy chest, Andrea continued to hush at the swifter. Looking at him with her yellowish scerla, taking deep breaths while he rested on the helk's cloud-like chest. "Hopefully this won't happen again." Andrea whispered in case the other party was woken. "So I don't have to deal with him on my fluff every time he gets very upset, but I actually don't mind." The helk commented on the swifter's recent behavior with her.

FOR NP: Andrea gets meltdowns because she had a long day, or just scared from her involvement with Animal, whom she was formerly with until something traumatic happened between the two. These meltdowns can be physical or mental!

Yui Yakamoto melancholicmodern

Yui looked and saw Andrea whimpering and sobbing on the floor. Yui, feeling bad for the poor girl, went and comforted her.

She found out that Andrea was having a bad day - and Yui tried to sympathize with her. They went for a walk, and after walking for a while, Andrea felt better. Yui waved off to her, and Yui went home.

FOR NP:

Yui is a danganronpa oc, and is the protagonist of her story. During the story, her mental health becomes worse until eventually she just. breaks during trial 6. Having a full blown mental breakdown over... well spoilers but if you found out you would p shocked... after getting out of the killing game, she experiences bouts of anxiety and paranoia, and isn’t the same as when she entered the killing game.

She doesn’t like opening up to other people, since the two people she was close to died in the killing game. She feels hopeless, and she thinks it’s her fault for all of her classmates’ deaths. She will push people away during these breakdowns, but will eventually calm down if you give her time.

Zinkyzor

Fidget was use to breakdown, having mental ones all the time herself so fidget just stood there and listened while the girl had a meltdown.  Even though yui probably didn't like fidget,  she didn't really care. Fidget l9ved to listen to others just has much has she liked to talk so she was a great therapist. Hypothetically.

np fidget will turn into her sad/self conscious form when breaking down and will say things like " you probably hate me now " and " just destroy me already "

Zinnia salternate

Zinnia fluttered her eyelashes, her hands raised up to her lips as she listened to the pokémon. His laughter had quickly devolved into a wail...what had even happened before?

The teenager was unsure of what prompted the elder party to break down. In fact, she had no clue how to react. The only thing the blonde could do was...stand there and stare at him. Allowing her shoulders to tense up, Zinnia tentatively shuffled closer to the gjinka.

"Uhm, sir, I-I'm sorry. I know it's rude to eavesdrop," the blonde muttered, allowing her fingers to quaver as she lifted her hand up. Zinnia was more worried about getting reprimanded by the elder party; she was perfectly fine with approaching him, albeit growing more nervous as she neared him.

After she extended her fingers, Zinnia planted her hands on Jesper's shoulders. She was, admittedly, caught off guard by how cold his gelatinous flesh felt. Allowing a shiver to travel up her shoulders, Zinnia tilted her head to examine the gjinka's expression.

"But...I don't agree with what you said. Who on earth told you that? Are you getting bullied, too?" she squeaked before seating herself next to him.

"I think you look...really cool, sir. Why don't you tell me what's wrong? I'm just waiting for my drink to be made."

-------------------------

Characterization notes are underneath the spoiler! TW for a (rumored) teenage pregnancy!

NP, Zinnia is more likely to break down if she's feeling extremely stressed or upset! She will try to let you know beforehand if she begins to get overwhelmed, but if she's feeling particularly strong emotions, she will fail to do so.

As for things that could contribute to her breakdown, there are three main negative events that could impact this!

She has an ex-friend bullying her! Stephanie is targeting Zinnia's insecurities, especially with her weight. A huge factor that affects her that's caused by Stephanie is a rumor claiming that Zinnia is pregnant. Zinnia also has a huge crush on her best friend! She has gotten friendzoned before, which had impacted her thoughts on herself negatively. Finally, her parents have blatant favoritism displayed towards her sister! Though she claims that she's used to this, Zinnia is still easily upset. Additionally, she has no clue why her parents prefer her sister, so she's often shrouded in confusion regarding this!

Or, alternatively, if you feel like unleashing your inner antagonist, hurt Zinnia's feelings! Her biggest weak spot is her weight; she is extremely insecure about this! If pestered enough, Zinnia will cry.

Don't let this be a barrier to you! Go all out!

Ace LostPocong

(sorry it took so long...)

Visiting the library, Ace noticed a familiar girl sitting alone in the corner. She was looking quite upset, on the verge of tears, so the demon decided to go talk to her, to see what was bothering her. But first she fixed her clothes, making them a little more modest. “Hey Zinnia… “Ace said as she sat down next to the teenager, “is something bothering you?”

After listening to Zinnia describing how she had been bullied by her former friend, Ace exclaimed, “That’s awful, why would she do say that?!” Luckily, there we no other visitors at the library at the moment… calming back down, as to not upset Zinnia further, she said, “I can’t believe someone who used to be your friend would say that to you; How can anyone be mean to someone as sweet as you?” She got up and offered, “I’ll get us some chocolate milk, okay?”

While buying some chocolate mild from a nearby vending machine, she though about what she could say to make Zinnia feel better. “Here, drink this,” She said as she set down the cartoon of chocolate mild in front of Zinnia, “it will make you feel a little better.” After taking a sip from her own drink, she said, “You shouldn’t listen to what that girl says, if it’s not affecting your health, a few extra pounds aren’t bad.” Smiling at the teenager, assured her, “You look cute, really… Maybe that girl is just jealous…”

Noticing that the girl still looked upset, Ace asked, “Is there anything else bothering you?” Zinnia told her about some rumors her bully had been spreading, to the demon’s shock. Ace knocked over her drink while standing up, not noticing because she was too preoccupied. “Are you serious? How could anyone say that?” she said as her chocolate milk slowly spilled across the table, “It’s not true right? Right! Did Stephanie start that rumor too?” She had to take a couple of deep breaths to calm down again. Picking up her drink and wiping away anything that spilled with her cape, she said, “That’s awful… Have you tried talking about her with your parents? Maybe they could get in touch with hers…”

NP:

- Ace gets insecure when criticized, especially if she actually did something wrong.
- If she's not making progress with any of her projects, she'll get frustrated.
- She can get violent when provoked, and will feel bad about it she accidently goes a little too far.

Hundreds of pages of blueprints stretched out before Ace, detailing the giant machine she had been working on with a certain fairy’s help. After the first test with the incomplete prototype failed, the demon was looking over the papers again to search for a way to improve them. But nothing would work, all mechanisms were reliant on each other; Changing anything would completely ruin the design.

The frustration of it all almost caused Ace to make a rash decision and incinerate the blueprints, but luckily, she was interrupted by an uninvited guest. She answered, “It does, kinda. But there’s also magic involved…” She took a moment to consider if Fulvous would actually be able to help her; They probably knew little about magic, but maybe they’ll have some suggestions if she tries to focus on the mechanical aspects of her problem. “…I guess it wouldn’t hurt to try…”, she thought, before pulling out one of the blueprints and pointed to a strange arcane mechanism.

“Once the mana in this machine reaches critical level, which is has to, this part suddenly starts leaking pressure.”

Fulvous PolarisStorm

Fulvous stared at the demon in front of them with the slightest little scowl on their face. They had simply come here to "borrow" (steal) some comic books, but instead, found this stranger getting frustrated at… Whatever the fuck they were doing. They honestly didn't know. But they were getting upset at it, and Fulvous wanted to either help or make it worse. Which one? They didn't know. Time to find out!

"Yo, what the fuck are you doing?" they somewhat aggressively asked the fellow enby. Once they were sure they got the other's attention, they barked, "Goddamn, you're struggling, huh? Hmm…. Does it have anything to do with machinery? I'm the world's greatest mad engineer you can find, bitch! Or is it about supervillainy? I'm the world's most evil supervillain, too! I don't know too much about much else, but I wanna make myself useful. The fuck you need? We'll talk about payment at a later date." They didn't want nor need payment. They were doing this out of the goodness of their heart, but what supervillain would admit that? Not Doctor Fulvous, that's for sure!

Spoiled for mentions of domestic abuse, self-harm, and LGBTphobia, but here's notes.

Fulvous has undiagnosed PTSD from the end of their relationship with Vermilion, so an overwhelming majority of the time, their issue is with that. They're relatively easily triggered by this, whether intentionally or not. Just mentioning Vermilion can throw them in a breakdown on a bad day.

Also, they have pretty bad dysphoria, so if someone intentionally and constantly misgenders them, uses the wrong pronouns, etc. they could have a breakdown. They're understanding about mistakes, this only applies if it's intentional or constant.

In both situations, they're going to act one or both of two ways: They get obviously worse with their acting out, while still being somewhat obvious that something's wrong, or they just get depressed. It's essentially a 50/50 if only one happens, so feel free to pick one or both. They're prone to self-harm, mainly cutting, in this state, so you might want to keep watch of them.

Peaches yanderechips

Fulvous seemed to be in visible distress. They looked like they were crying. They were tugging at their hair, curled up into a small ball. Peaches was also in distress. She didn't know how to help them. She had accidently mentioned something along the lines of Vermillion, which had caused them to start to panic. Now here they were.

Peaches looked around, desperate to try to calm them down with something. "I'm sorry-- I didn't mean to hurt you--" She tried so, so hard not to hug them since that would make their day even worst. Peaches remembered something. She had a leftover cookie in her pocket from baking with them once! Perfect.

It wasn't old either, (even thought they haven't interacted in a while. Har har.) Though it seemed to be a bit crumpled and crusty. It was good enough. She took the cookie out from her pocket and handed a small bit to the still panicked Fulvous. ".......Here."

Np Peaches will easily have a mental breakdown if you bully her for her heterochromia. Have fun! 🏃

Lady Eclair EggSalt

By all means, Lady Eclair was a bad guy. She stole, she fought, and she could be a bitter woman all around.

However...She's a villain, not a monster. Seeing a young kid sobbing on the concrete, breaking down from some stranger picking on her? That was monstrous to the rabbit-horse hybrid, and she refused to let the situation be as she took a few heavy footsteps closer to Peaches.

"Hey," Eclair's rough voice called out, squatting towards the six year old with a glint in her eye, "Don't let that hag get you down. You're different, so what? That just makes you more unique."

The alien took a seat, offering a hand to the six year old with a grin, "Don't let these weirdos push you down. You're going to be able to take them down in any way you want if you work towards it. Either by ignorin' them or other means. Promise."

It was almost like she was talking to a past version of herself on that last line. Funny how the youth does that.

---

Eclair has angry breakdowns more than sad breakdowns. Remembering how cowardly her folks were is definitely something to get her riled up.

Lorento Achterburg VictoryDrawsStuff

"H-Hey, please calm down madam!"

Lorento put his hands up in the human symbol of surrender, dropping his weapon. Seems like Lady Eclair was having a breakdown. An angry one in fact. Despite his poor understanding of English, he could make out the Lady angrily breaking down about...cowards? Minions being cowards?

Well what was that about?

Lorento now felt pity for the Lady, often being called a coward himself when Billy is leaving his side. The German softened up, telling the Lady that she was valid for having such feelings, but this was the present, not the future.

"There was always time to make yourself better in the future, always they say. No being a coward anymore..." Lorento told her, trying to smile despite the bitterness he felt himself.

Wasn't he just a coward in ending his past life a little too early...

.

Note for @NP: oH bOI Lorento would defs breakdown about ending his current life too soon and how he was too cowardly back then...Could have saved his brother Billy from his own death in D-Day and that never happened. He would also break down if Billy in their current lives has to leave his side, these breakdowns can be physical or mental, mostly it is both. Lorento is often scared that Billy will die again in their current lives, or he will die without Billy, forever feeling guilt in both of his lives....have fun! (?)

NV PicklePantry

Hands in pocket, NV silently stared from a good distance as Lorento broke down. It happened suddenly. A frown deepened, sniffles became repetitive, and suddenly stifled sobs and flowing tears came, all in the span of a minute. Words were uttered, ones they couldn't quite hear or understand, save for one: "Billy". It was repeated over and over, sometimes with an apology attached. What was the story of that? Who was Billy for this person to agonize over so? They must have been incredible to leave an impact, NV felt a small tingle of jealousy in the pit of their stomach.
As for Lorento, they couldn't understand too well his situation, but could somewhat piece together what was happening. That pain, a mixture of grief and fear. It was as though the worst case scenario had happened to him, and either he was too scared to face that reality, or there was a second chance he was terrified of failing. Either way, it was a heavy weight that must have stayed on his back. They sympathized.

"Your pain and misery tells me so much about you," NV finally said while plodding towards Lorento. "The hardships you've endured yet risen above, the struggle to maintain such pain, and the love you've felt to be hurt so badly. You are a strong person. There's no reason to cry."
The wraps around them shifted slowly, some practically floating around behind them, watching Lorento as though they were snakes. "If it is too much for you, maybe I can help. I can shoulder it instead. I'm sure the pain will weigh heavily over me, but I know that someone like you must be admired by many, loved by all. I'm willing to pay such a price to have love like that. Would you like me to help?"

     It was raining hard.
In the dark alley at the edge of the city, NV sat, their back against the wall and their head slouched down. Bandaged hands pressed tightly against their ears, as though to deafen the heavy rainfall, or the threatening thunder. But it wasn't that, they'd have gladly welcomed such noises instead.
Envy whispered in their head, just as it always did, just like clockwork. How ugly they were, how unworthy of attention they were except for ridicule. NV looked down at their reflection from the pooling rain water, seeing gruesome transformations from something out of nightmares. They closed their eyes tight.
"Ignore it, ignore it," they whispered under their breath. "That's Envy's doing. That's not what you look like. Ignore it."
     They couldn't hear themselves.

The wraps slithered around them, constricting and tightening now and then, agitated with their undecidedness. When things got this bad, the only way to get even any relief was to steal faces and change themselves until they could get false love and adoration. They couldn't do it anymore, though, they didn't want to. To think it almost caused them to kill Caelestis!
NV lowered their head more. They could feel their hands changing with Envy's influence, turning into an amalgamation of disease and wounds-- anything that could show them to be horrible. "Stop," they uttered over and over, to no avail. They hadn't even heard the figure approaching them, jolting only when touched.
"You," they stammered, though with the wild look in their eye it was difficult to tell whether they really comprehended that it was Caelestis. Their eye, wide with pain and turmoil, flickered with the color green, almost like sparks from electricity. "N-No," they managed to wheeze, Shaking hands grabbed the celestial's shoulders, prying him off them. "Not... Not you. Envy. It does this... a lot..."
Ah, such beautiful eyes, so caring and clear, and directed at them and them alone. Such silky hair, so perfect that even the rain wouldn't touch it. Pure, soft skin, as pale as the moonlight, and wonderful like the stars. How many suitors did he get daily? How many sweet nothings did he whisper to others every night? How many fell under his spell, too? What did it feel like, knowing the whole world would die just for a smile? How did it feel to be so perfect?
Prying their eye away, NV saw the wraps sliding out of their sleeves to once again wrap around the object of their affection. They quickly yanked both hands away, pulling the wraps with them. Not again, not again, not again.
"I'm sorry," they whispered, eye squinted with a newfound pain. "I'm so sorry." They repeated it over and over, up until the rain lightened into a spiteful drizzle. "None of this is your fault. It's mine, it's all my fault. I almost took your face, I almost killed you-- twice." With a shuddering breath, they looked down to their hand. It was trembling. "I don't know if I can control it anymore," they said, tone just as shaky. "Lately, when I look at you, I feel this new emotion that mixes with what I already feel: it's an anger... a jealousy. I don't know if it's Envy's influence... or it's me." They didn't dare look up at his face. "But I'm scared. I'm scared that I'll end up hurting you, or worse...
"I'm so sorry," NV repeated once more. There was something warm against their face, but by then Caelestis wasn't holding their cheek. "I don't know... I don't know if I can do this anymore, if we should be around each other. Even if I can control my powers, I can't fulfill you or make you happy. I don't know enough about romance, and I can see it starting to bother you. I'm just... I'm not good enough."
Suddenly, they recognized what was causing that warm feeling.
     They were tears.
So this is what it felt like to cry for someone. NV wanted to laugh. What a bitter feeling, but one they were glad to have experienced.
Finally, they looked up to look at him, their eye narrowed in a new, sad pain in what could only be a sad smile beneath all those wraps. "Thank you. For everything. It was nice... being loved."

Caelestis Solaestial

(^ i'm fine,, everything's great,, , wdym)

The aching of Caelestis' heart felt so incredibly real. It might as well have been a stab, but only far worse, as it twisted and turned inside him. Being pushed away hurt in its own way. The sight of NV's reaction to the wraps appearing once more hurt even more so. He didn't want them to feel like this. He needed to help them, but he didn't know how. Could he even? At this point, it truly seemed as if his presence did little but harm them. "I don't mind," he blurred out desperately. "It's worth it if it's you. I don't mind being hurt, and I've been almost killed by those I loved far many more times than that. Beyond almost, really." Best not to linger too much on that though. "But…" he murmured, slowing down, "I suppose that likely doesn't help much, does it…?" Was there anyone who would truly find comfort in that? There didn't seem to be anything he could say to reassure them anymore.

And there it was. Caelestis blinked once, twice, unable to formulate any response. All of the mental preparation he'd mustered up with a different context in mind fell to null, the words crushing down upon him mercilessly. There it always was. He'd done it yet again. And yet he truly wanted this to be different. He couldn't bear it to be so, but here he was regardless. Wasn't it laughable?

Slumping down onto the ground, his gaze remained fixed at their hood. Even as NV's head finally lifted, the sorrow so clear even despite how little of their face could be seen, Caelestis' eyes could not move to meet their own. A moment passed, a blink, and he moved to slowly stand up. A hand reached down to pick up the umbrella, pausing, before simply setting it down once more, only closer to NV. An offer for them to keep it. He turned away, but before taking a step, turned back towards them. Eyelids lowered, he pulled something out of his shirt and knelt down to set it on the ground beside NV. A somewhat oddly shaped gold necklace, carrying a faint leafy texture along the surface. It almost seemed as if intended to fit together with another. A childish little thing that he'd whipped up in a rush, unsure as to why he'd even done it afterwards. The sort of thing that excited teenage couples might find interest in, but likely not someone like NV. Although it didn't quite matter now, did it?

"…NV," he said quietly, rising to his feet once more. There felt to be tears in his own eyes, but ones that remained still, refusing to fall. "I—Alright. But at least… know that my love will never be something of the past."

He turned around hesitantly, stopped to look back once more after a few steps, and finally sprinted off.

(kinda thought it could maybe work alright with a continuation of that last main interaction? 👉👈)

The weather certainly had taken a turn for the worse. As the rain began heavying to a pour, Caelestis felt all the more grateful for the umbrella he'd taken a short detour to pick up—although the anxiety of the situation did not lessen in the slightest. NV could be anywhere by this point, and even though he'd already taken far too much time in getting up after they'd ran off, it didn't feel like a good idea to only wait even longer to find them and apologize. Since traveling through the rooftops seemed a poor idea amidst the rain, he instead wandered along the sidewalks, slowing down to peer more closely around the especially shadowy areas that he seemed to typically find them in. Just as it was seeming fairly hopeless, and he'd began to wonder whether they'd returned to the city at all—meaning he'd been searching the wrong place entirely this whole time—a flash of green clothing caught his eye.

Somehow, they looked even more distressed than he would have expected. A part of Caelestis almost hoped that there had been something else as well in the time they'd been gone, and that it wasn't all the fault of him and his stupidity. But even regardless, there was no doubt that that wouldn't have at all helped either. Anyone who knew NV in the slightest could surely understand that much. There was the slightest moment of stillness as he stared at them from outside the alley before hurrying over, shoes splashing lightly against the wet concrete.

"NV," he whispered, dropping onto his knees to crouch before them. Allowing the umbrella to fall aside, he pulled them into a tight embrace. "Are you alright…? I'm sorry. That hurt you, didn't it?" He clung to NV with all of his strength, all of the feelings of regret returning to him all at once. He knew it must have been Envy that brought them to this state, but to blame only it didn't feel something he could reasonably manage this time. He sighed. "I just... want to be closer to you, but to express it in that manner was only terribly cruel. I'd meant to avoid asking anything unwanted of you, and yet it was surely more selfish and inconsiderate than anything else at all." Caelestis pulled away slowly, lingering with reluctance to part. One hand instead rested on NV's shoulder, and the other reached to cup their cheek as he gazed at them sadly. "If it brings any comfort, I trust that you wouldn't have done that intentionally. And even it were if so, I truly wouldn't love you any less for it either. It is only I at fault for so thoughtlessly bringing it up to begin with."

Caelestis let out a breath, the hand cupping their cheek drifting to pass over an ear as he recalled the other's position when he saw them. "Envy still torments you," he muttered more to himself than anything, "and to think I…" Wasn't there anything he could do for them? Surely there was something. And yet somehow, in spite of everything, he'd only just done the opposite instead. It was detestable. "Please, if there's anything I can do to make it up to you—anything I can do to help you—I would like to know." He pulled them into another hug, yet loosely this time. "I wish more than anything to drown out that voice, and never at all to strengthen it, so... if I ever act so foolishly again, it's alright if you're left to hate me or cast me aside. I want unbearably so to be with you, but even more so for your happiness."

notes for np:

okay so… caelestis' emotions don't usually really express themselves in any very extreme manner, so it might be difficult to avoid taking a looser interpretation of the word tbh. he embraces his emotions wholeheartedly for the most part, but they never really end up going way out of control regardless. that fact itself almost troubles him more than the emotions themselves ever really do, since even just crying is a rare occurrence. any upsetting or traumatic memories end up almost oddly easily distant and forgotten, so that kinda stuff doesn't usually get to him a ton either.

that doesn't mean there isn't plenty of stuff bundled up in his mind though haha. for one, he values emotions a ton, but since basically everything about his physical form in general is something he put in active effort to possess, and so much of that stuff is felt within the body, he can feel like his own emotions aren't really valid as a result. then there's also the fact that he doesn't think he was meant to actually exist to begin with, considering the initial (inanimate) nature of his existence and the fact that he's very much so not meant to be living life how he is.
he mostly bases his self-worth off of how much he feels like he can help people he cares about (and people in general), so if there's any reason for him to believe himself to be useless in that regard, expect a good deal of self-loathing. when he gets really into those sorts of moods, there's generally a sense of sad emptiness that overtakes him, in which case though he's gonna mostly seem spaced-out and subtly sad more than anything, or otherwise most likely be drinking himself into a stupor. in all honesty, when he's drunk is the only time where there's really an easy possibility of getting to a point that could actually be considered a breakdown, since his emotions come out a lot more straightforwardly then. that doesn't mean the thoughts in his mind can't slip out occasionally regardless though, but definitely not in the form of any shouting or sobbing or anything. don't be afraid to have him brought to tears if it seems reasonable though, but it would probably still be the quiet, subtle kind at most

honestly i know none of this is probably very easy to work with at all, so i'm sorry about that aaaaaa

yesss i loved that 😭

An almost tauntingly beautiful day. The cool evening air would surely soothe anyone's soul. The leaves rustled in the breeze, dancing joyfully, as he very well could at this moment. His mood felt brighter than the sun that gleamed over the horizon almost blindingly. His heart felt as full as the oceans themselves. Everything was perfect.

Only, how Caelestis would wish so, for the narration could only express itself so through the deepest of sarcasms. He lifted the necklace just newly clasped around his neck up before himself, gazing at it sadly. What an odd thing to consider romantic, when he thought about it. Wasn't it instead only an incomplete, broken heart? On what occasions would it ever be joined with its counterpart? It had seemed silly before—childish—but now it only felt incredibly appropriate. How ironic.

One bottle. What was this going to do? He'd thought as he had sat down with it, and unsurprisingly, it did nothing. Caelestis closed his teary eyes, even the newly present noises around him feeling distant and muffled, only for a large lick to snap them back open. What? His eyes widened in surprise. A… dog. And then suddenly he realised what that voice had been.

The affectionate dog was tugged away, and he finally looked towards the man the voice belonged to. There seemed to be a sense of understanding. "That's true," he said a bit more softly than usual. Though safety wasn't something he ever found much concern in, but now only even less so. What would it matter at this point? He mustered a smile somehow even so, but the sort that would instead be difficult to not see through. "No, you can stay. Although it's nothing especially unique to listen to, admittedly." Caelestis chuckled weakly, looking fondly over to the man's dogs. "And… I'm certain they are. At least, that does sound quite idyllic, I must say." After a pause, he reached over to pet one of them. Eyes drifting back towards Ty somewhat guiltily, "Oh but, I don't suppose you happen to have any wine on hand yourself…?" He really, really needed more.

Tiberius "Chiro" Alden kordesii

(ahhh, i hope this is okay???)

It was a nice spring evening, a gentle breeze blew through the trees as the sun descended beyond the horizon, its warmth still lingering in the air for the time being. It was the perfect time for a walk, and Ty had decided that a small walk through the forest was a perfect idea. He of course brought both dogs with him, the two not straying far from his side as they bounded along happily. It had been forever since he had been able to do anything like this, and he was happy for the time he had off of work. Being able to relax was of course something he always looked forward to.

He hummed quietly to himself as he watched both dogs get into a small playfight, running around one another and pouncing occasionally. He whistled to break it up once they started getting too rough with one another, both dogs standing at attention before running back over to him. This small cycle went on for a while, before both dogs suddenly stopped, ears perking up as they stared off in the same direction. Ty's gaze followed theirs, and that's when he spotted a lone figure sitting on a larger rock, a bottle of something sitting next to them.

Tiberius was able to grab Bear by the collar and leash him, although Teddie wiggled free of his grasp and took off towards the stranger. "Teddie!" Ty called, before taking off after the large beast, dragging Bear along with him. Before he could make it, Teddie was already halfway on the rock, tail wagging a mile a minute as he licked the stranger's face. "No! Ted!" Tiberius grabbed the dog by the collar, breathing a bit hard as he tugged the beast off and away from the person, leashing him in one fluid moment, "Ah, I'm sorry!" He apologized quickly, turning to glare at the dog who had been all over the stranger a moment earlier. Teddie did not look sorry.

Ty looked back up, his eyes meeting Caelestis's. He blinked, seeing an expression on his face that Ty knew all too well. It was very easy for him to tell when someone was sad, as he spent a long time looking at that expression in the mirror every time he woke up. The bottle of wine also helped him but things into perspective, and from the looks of it, it was pretty much empty.

"You know, it's probably not the safest thing to drink all your sorrows away in the middle of a forest." He said with a gentle smile after a moment, his features softening, "at least, not alone." He added with a small chuckle, glancing over at one of the dogs as they were distracted by a passing butterfly.

"I may be overstepping my boundaries, but uh... I've been told I'm a decent listener? Or if not me, then these two are pretty good at it." Ty went on, nodding to each of the large beasts, whose tails wagged ever so slightly at the small amount of attention they received from their owner, "I do speak from experience on that second one. They'll never cut you off, and they'll let you smoosh their faces for as long as you desire."

for np:

this man is a MESS. he can and will cry a lot. he very much bottles up his emotions until he can't anymore. will have a breakdown in the McDonald's parking lot at 3am cause he dropped his ice cream cone. most of his breakdowns are just when everything has stacked up so much and a mild inconvenience occurs. his emotions are wack, and most of his negative emotions stem from a place of self-loathing. he's not a huge fan of himself or his choices in life. would have much rather went to school to become a vet than join the military.

(hi yes, that was perfect thank you!)

Being unable to fall asleep was nothing new to Tiberius, and he'd often take late night strolls to help clear his mind. This one had taken him to a local McDonald's, and he certainly wasn't going to pass up the perfect opportunity to indulge in that sweet, sweet soft serve. Especially not when his mood was so far down in the dumps that he had avoided taking too good a look at himself in the passing windows. There wasn't a day that went by where he would regret making the choices he had, he could have done something much more different, much more fulfilling. He should have just went to school. He wanted to retire and open up a small vet clinic somewhere far away from everything.

Ice cream in hand, he felt his mood lifting as he made his way across the parking lot, only for it to shatter as the soft serve fell in slow motion to the ground in front of him. He felt the tears welling up before he could stop them, and he took a seat on the curb, silently weeping as sadness overcame him. He barely noticed Nexus approaching, jumping a bit when he spoke, his eyes going to the other man before they drifted towards the ice cream sitting between them. He rubbed at his eyes to try and rid them of the tears, a small smile coming onto his lips as he reached for it, happily accepting it.

The silence was not awkward, Ty's mind merely wandering as he absentmindedly ate the ice cream, his gaze shifting up towards the night sky. He turned towards Nexus as he began to speak again, letting out a small laugh at the last statement about getting him more ice cream, "I appreciate the offer, but I think you taking the time to actually come over here and give me this-" he gestured to the cone in his hand "-is enough. I just need a moment to get my head all straightened out and I'll be fine again. Just gonna sit here for another minute, enjoy the nice night while I can." His smile didn't quite reach his eyes, although he did seem to be in a bit better of a mood.
