Pike narrowed his eyes and blinked a few times, allowing his vision to adjust to his new surroundings. He was dressed in cargo shorts and wore a loose-fitting blazer with nothing underneath, but trying to remember dressing like such made him drew blanks. Despite this, the person he apparently hung out with was pretty nice, and decided to save the questions until this was all over.
If it was going to end, anyway. He didn't know how long dates were supposed to be. As much as he gave a goofy grin in the other's direction, in the end he was almost terrified.

Something felt... different. ...Perhaps it was just her imagination. Walking through the alleyway she was in, she tried to find her latest victim. Slinking out of the alleyway, she walked through the streets, trying to find a bar or something. Bumping into an elderly woman, she stopped, and the woman looked down at her.
"Aw, what a cute cat~" The woman outstretched her hands and snatched up the grey cat, taking her by surprise.
"Hey!" she hissed, trying to communicate with the woman. "Let me down!"
To a human, cats would say 'meow'. So, in the woman's mind, she would just hear hissing. To her anger, Starfall tried to teleport away.
Take me to Neb's location, she thought, directing her teleportation to Neb. However, unlike it usually did, it didn't work.
So that's what felt different. She didn't have her magical abilities anymore. Out of annoyance, she squirmed to get free of the woman's grasp. When that didn't work, she scratched the woman, causing her to drop the cat by surprise. Starfall ran away. Whatever happened next, she knew it wouldn't be good.
