I have no idea if this has been done before, and I really hope I’m being original with this lmfao— I hope this gains at least a tiny bit of traction for maybe a couple days😭
Basically the jist is, submit your OC with an un-American name into this thread and then rename the character above you like you’re in the 4Kids staff who’s localizing every character’s name as terribly as possible for a painfully American dub! Bonus points if you give them a new first and last name!!
Examples I’ve seen: Denji turning into Dennis (by fans), literally all of Inazuma Eleven ToT, and all of Ace Attorney???? (They’re all puns in that one plz)
I don’t have any rule for this thread other than don’t be vulgar about this (let’s be a tiny bit mature about this, guys) and don’t spam every other post, but other than that go wild!
Be silly, be serious, anything you want! The name can be similar to the original, or it can be totally off the rails different!
