I found an Instagram acc under the same username, I’m not sure if it’s still used or is the same person as the last post was back in 2021, maybe it’s worth a shot dming them there?
I commissioned a user known as "sylphani" over a year ago to draw my OC.
They were nice and very quick to respond.
Needless to say, I felt no fear in commissioning them...
I would regret that.
They NEVER responded back to me.
Not once since then have I ever heard a thing from them.
As you can see, I ultimately gave up trying to contact them.
They scammed me and it hurts a lot.
But I noticed that when I try to click on their toyhouse link now, its completely gone.
Were they outed as a scammer?
This user has scammed me before as it stands. They forced me to paypal chargeback them in the end after repeated months of ghosting. I'm usually really lenient about these things, but the lack of communication killed it.
I couldn't find all of the DMs, but here's the highlighted ones. I reminded them a few times in seperate DMs, but could not find the seperate DMs. :(

I was ghosted for months at a time with no update despite seeing them active and online and advertising for future comms.
Unfortunately this seems like repeated behavior, so I advise getting a chargeback as they will avoid you until it is too late to chargeback otherwise.

ahh omg - i recognize this person!! they offered art in exchange for one of my characters and i accepted, they've completed most of the art but i'm still missing some - i asked for an update on it a bit ago as the character had been on hold for months, but no response unfortunately :'>
Ah, this user also completely ghosted me on art they owed me. It seems like they have a habit of doing this.
they owed me a chibi and two fullbodies for a character, they completed the chibi within the day (and actually went above and beyond and made something animated).
After that I heard no progress from them for longer than I’m willing to wait with no updates when it comes to art for characters (because I’ve been ghosted so much), I’m very transparent about only being willing to wait two weeks with no updates so this was not something sprung on them.

Very disappointing to see they haven’t changed in two years. I hope you can get your money back, very sad to see the gut feeling I had at the time of the offer was correct.
Does anyone know if a beware/PSA has been made on furrascal/sylphani yet, since their ghosting behavior pretty much warrants one?
i haven't seen a PSA around but it would definitely be helpful i think, that sort of behavior is not ok
I don't think there's been a PSA yet. Feel free to link back to my reply if someone does make one, but I don't have the energy to pursue it myself I'm afraid.
Update on the message I sent to furrascal...
They have been online according to their stats but they refuse to acknowledge my message or even look at it.
So yeah... I didn't realize they had such a tendency to ghost people.
I truly appreciate all the users who have added their own stories and have helped back up my case.
I feel like we definitely need a PSA at this point.
They did the same to mine, so dont expect any response I think. iirc they were also still commenting and posting elsewhere, uploading their own characters and art. No regard or assurances to people commissioning from them. I don't think they should be taking the money for commissions they don't intend to complete because it ends up being a scam.
If anyone still has a commission in progress and isn't sure it'll be done; it probably won't. Chargeback before its too late.
Has anyone who has commissioned them within the last 3 months recieved their work? I have not heard from them since I sent payment. Because I sent through KoFi does this mean I can’t file a chargeback if they end up never replying and doing the work?
