I am very disappointed to hear that the scammer has cancelled refund payments. For those who can, I would recommend going through a more guaranteed process instead such as a chargeback through PayPal or your bank. DO NOT CANCEL YOUR CHARGEBACKS IF THE SCAMMER OFFERS A REFUND.

UPDATE #1 : The scammer account has been deactivated. It seems the scammer ran away so anyone who fell for the scam will need to file a chargeback through PayPal or their bank.

The design that we bought from Totororrro (also stolen) has high resolution files without watermark >/////////<;; our bad that we aren't cautious

Skfuu sorry for the ping as well! but i noticed the designs uploaded here by previous buyers really are very clean and high-res 😭 its one of the reason that made me doubt myself for being suspicious of them
if not for them messing up by telling me a previously sold adopt is still available for sell - putting their organization skill into question that ultimately deterred me from buying - i wouldve probably get fooled too;;

Skfuu Yes! me too! They also sent me the high res file! At first I was so relieve that they may be the real artist, thinking that I was just overthinking ;; Luckily, I still remember their paypal. When I saw your post on discord, I can realize that Im in trouble ;;

Oh my god, thank you for creating this!! I was eyeing their "adopts" for a while because I really liked the Chinese character designs, but didn't have a clue that it was stolen adoptables. Thank you!
If someone find more evidence on Fl0ri4 it would be a big help if they could ping me. Both these account’s have/and are in a big adoptable group I mod on DA. totororrro deactivated the account, but Fl0ri4 is still actively trying to submit adoptables to the group everyday. I would like to avoid members to be scammed so if there are more evidence it would help a lot.

Currently we have not yet had time to look into who the original artist is for the Adopts on the suspected alt account ( https://www.deviantart.com/fl0ri4 ) of the scammer.
However, I will continue to update this thread as new information becomes available.
Update : https://www.deviantart.com/fl0ri4 is also deactivated now.
I made a journal entry on DA about this and dared to @ fl0ri4. 1 hour later I went to their account and it's deactivated...
If it's any help to people, I saved some of their pages in the Wayback machine before I hit an archival limit. Unfortunately it's not a complete archive, but will hopefully be enough to prove to a representative that the account in question did in fact upload these designs and solicit payment:
This is also partly speculation, but based on some of the "high resolution" files shown to me or uploaded on TH I believe that they exploited the symmetry in many of these designs to hide the original artist's watermark by simply copy-pasting a flipped version of the unwatermarked half on top of the watermarked area. (In one file they did this so sloppily that the two sides weren't even properly aligned, but I'll need to ask permission to share that gif as I didn't make it) The only places this wouldn't work for them were asymmetrical design areas, where the edges of the watermark are still faintly visible, for example: https://sta.sh/01grbcspymz0
