question: Why must we have world? are you making sure we have a Ml if so, what if we dont use a world for a Ml?/gen
itsMachopuppy i have quite a number of reasons tbh! the biggest is consistency. we are on th, so id prefer to feature species that are accessible to th users with no other accounts needed. not everyone has a discord or da or wants to go off-site, and worlds make usually at least basic info available to anyone with a potential interest, so it's an equalizer in that way. worlds are also easier for me to navigate when i'm checking for species completion and activity levels. most of the species on the list i've found independently, and i try to avoid adding any species that are still wips or have been inactive for long periods of time. with worlds, i can check bulletins or the event listings on front page to see activity levels. worlds also make it really easy for species owners to find other owners, or for newcomers to see the variety of designs a species might have, or see what adopts are open if any. //nm
i've thought about making a separate spreadsheet for open species that are just character profiles, since activity isnt rly relevant for open species, but honestly maintaining the main sheet is plenty of work on its own.
