Viscets are bipedal raptor-canine closed-species* that have been around on the internet since ~2015; thousands of viscets adopts are permanently homed to and loved by many active members. This is to say they are NOT a new species with unclear rules, inactive staff, and only a few designs, that'll just die after a few months.
Signature traits of the species include fluffy chest fur, tall crests stretching from their head to the base of their tail, long oblong ears, and a large lion-like whip-tail with a tuft at the end. Viscets have ferret-like muzzles, double ringed eyes, opposable thumbs, and stand around eight feet tall on average. Many different "mutations" that adjust some of their basic traits can be found in the species. They can have saber fangs, butterfly wings, large antlers, six eyes, dog-like ears, or many more! The species home is centered on deviantart, but the heart of the species is found within it's discord server, where a lively, welcoming community of diverse identities has thrived since 2019, when the species migrated off the forum-based adoptable website "Chickensmoothie" due to its growing-size. (No need to own a viscet to join the server!)
Viscets are primarily obtained through formally hosted, limited, prompt-based "Write/draw to adopt" contests, but can also be obtained through raffles, auctions, community-hosted readoptions, and all-out "impress-me" competitions. There is also a nursery system where, for the low flat-fee of $5, two viscets can be given their own offspring.
Between the ~20 active staff members + artists of the species, there's always adopts being made, or someone around to help! Currently, we have just started our annual spring event! This spring event, we have twenty free adopts specifically for non-owners only! Each adoption also has a riddle, where you have a chance at winning a FREE unedited MYO (make your own) ticket!

Is having a DA account necessary to get eggs? I'd have to make one. Which I don't mind but I thought I'd ask
CapybaraQuartet Since everything for the species group is hosted through deviantart (and discord), you will need an account on deviantart to claim one, yes. Being a part of the discord community is completely optional, though!
I completely forgot I wrote stuff for the three I didn't draw for. Am I still able to submit that? Or are they no longer for adoption since it's past the 31st? Sorry got caught up in moving and the events and just forgot
