Hey! I’ve seen a lot of fanart commissions going around on Twitter, and it got me thinking— since we all love canon characters so much, why not make more art of them?
The game is simple: name some of your favorite characters from a movie/book/podcast/comic/etc, include a ref (or a written description if you’re picking from a podcast or a book), and you’re set!
Rules:
- The artist retains all rights to their work
- Please state the character you’re choosing, the media they’re from, and, if possible, some sort of reference. If a physical description isn’t given in written/spoken media, slap some personality traits in there!
- Please put effort into your drawings! A flat-colored bust is the minimum effort requirement.
- Claims must be filled within a month or I’ll add you to the naughty list
- No NSFW
- Please post your finished art behind a spoiler or link it in the post
- Finish your art before claiming again
- Please do not use fanart as a reference, unless a) you created it or b) you have express permission from the artist to upload it here with credit!
- This isn’t a hard rule but it would be nice to add a few characters to your post so that the next poster can have a selection to choose from :3
If there’s already a thread like this or this is against TH rules or smth please lmk and I can take it down :0 I brushed up on the rules and while TH prohibits canon character re-uploads, they didn’t mention anything about drawing canon characters that I could find!

Kent Jenks from The Troop
Appearance - Kent has wide and bulky shoulders like a linebacker. He is very tall for a 14 year old, seeing as "he [is] a full head taller than many of his teachers" and he has "wide-set and faintly bovine eyes". Plus he has braces :^)
He wears a beige boy scout uniform and a kerchief (I encourage different outfits!)
Personality - Kent kind of has a big head- hes the leader of his group by virtue of being the biggest and the strongest. Hes not mean, but he fiercely protects his leadership position. His father taught him to show no weakness and that he is destined to be a leader. He even calls teachers by their first names as a way gaining the upper hand on authority figures which I think is very funny. Hes still a 14 year old boy though and is no stranger to being goofy. A proud little man, but still a dumb kid.
Ephraim Elliot from The Troop
Appearance - Ephraim has "antifreeze-green eyes" along with a "unconventionally handsome face" with an "open-pored olive complexion". He's long and thin but all muscle, fast and strong. His hair is thick and dark. He has a pale scar below his elbow hinge (not super important)
He wears a beige boy scout uniform and a kerchief, also seen with a jacket (I encourage different outfits!)
Personality - Eef is a fiery lad. Lots of pent up anger and energy packed into a small space. He tries to prove to everyone hes not like his father, but people see him as just a handful of years away from ending up angry and in jail just like him. Which in turn makes him mad which continues the cycle. Hes not a bad guy at all, he just feels more strongly than others. He cares about his friends a lot and is a lot more caring than most seem to think.
Jack Merridew from Lord of the Flies (Sorry to all those who read this in school and are now getting flashbacks)
Appearance - Jack is around 12 years old and described as: "...thin and bony; and his hair was red beneath the black cap. His face was crumpled and freckled, and ugly without silliness. Out of this face stared two light blue eyes..."
He's seen either wearing a long black choir cloak and cap or with red, green, and brown warpaint.
Personality - Merridew is seen as an antagonist throughout most of the book. As the story goes on he develops a natural knack for hunting and tracking, killing multiple pigs with his hunters and growing a liking for drawing blood. When the boy in charge, Ralph, dismisses him more and more he becomes bitter and angry. His charisma and promise of fun to the other boys gives him power and an excuse to use his leadership position to hunt and have dance. Not to mention sometimes punishing those who need to be. Overall hes cunning, temperamental, and a natural commander with a taste for blood. Child dictator.
