llianya Ahaha, right? Pretear is one of my favorite magical girl series outside of Princess Tutu. Oddly enough, I only watched the anime well after the manga and I was rather disappointed with the design choices in it. I think that's why the anime has a sour taste for me. You can totally see how the designs are different in the manga vs. the anime. Crazy, isn't it? But yes! I'd be happy to commission you for more art, either in your mimic style or what I normally get. Whichever you are most comfortable with!

Ahhhh I absolutely loved Princess Tutu. It's funny because I still remember staring at the title and thinking that I had 0 expectations for the anime because the title sounded hella childish but it turned out being really good. And yeah to the design choices. Actually when I first saw the reference images you've posted, I wasn't even quite sure if we were talking about the same series. I think I do prefer Sasame's white hair though as well as the puffier looking hat of Shin in the anime. 

And I'd probably want to attempt a style mimic too. Then you can decide if it's good enough for you and I can either continue with it or change it to my personal style~ It's pretty fun doing these style mimic studies. 

If you have any scenario in mind for Aimi and Kei though, just let me know. Cause I'm not even sure if the anime was fully compliant to manga in terms of characterization now.

llianya I believe I saw a trailer for Princess Tutu and took a chance on it. So glad I did because I fell in love with it, ahaha. The design choices for the anime surprised me a bit but at the same time, I understand some of the changes. But Kei's was the one that shocked me the most. Though I believe their attitudes in the anime are pretty accurate in comparison. Well, sort of. Sasame was a happier fellow and a bit more flirty in the manga, but I did enjoy his white hair in the anime.

I was a pretty judgmental kid lmao. Also it aired alongside another series called Princess Comet so I was just really skeptical with all the princesses. I think my main Magical Girl anime will always be Card Captor Sakura. Though I grew up on a bunch of older and more obscure titles really (like Wedding Peach, and Akazukin Chacha). Honestly this whole conversation is making me want to rewatch those old anime even if I know that I probably wouldn't like most of them anymore.
