I take payment through paypal once the sketch of the commission has been approved by you.
Turnaround time: 2 weeks maximum. Usually it's less than a week. It of course depends on complexity of the commission.

I don't really do sketches atm because I feel like with how paypal fees work and how they hold funds for a long time etc, it isn't really be beneficial for me.
But as for canon characters, that's completely fine.

Usually, so far it has been the price of a fullbody flat color for one view of the character then 75% of that for extra ones. It's a bit hard to tell without having seen the character/s. ^^
So for an example, 1 view + weapon would go for $45 -$55 depending on complexity.
