 | Hello! First of all, thank you for taking a peek. I'm gumi with a lowercase g, and I'm a lover of romance and horror and all the juicy bits in between. I've been working on being in a place where I can open commissions, and while I'm not quite there yet, I am far enough in the process to see whether or not there will be interest. (Hopefully this is the right forum for it!) For your perusal, I have a carrd that's up and running, which basically has everything—including examples. I would really appreciate any sign of interest! Whether that's in an anonymous poll response or otherwise, it'll help me gauge the timing of things depending on how many people seem interested haha, as well as the degree of interest. No pressure. But my forms are technically open, so if your interest is to that extent, I would love to see it! The waitlist is currently open, after all, and though there's no ETA on the official opening just yet, there is a pinglist for those who don't want to miss it. :) Either way, thank you for reading this! not a commissioner, just a longtime writer curiously popping my head in ヾ(＾∇＾) everything looks really good!! i dare say i think you could raise your prices on the multi-course meal; the going standard rate for big stuff like that is $0.06 (SWFA actually recommends $0.08 for more complicated genres like hard sci-fi), and you definitely have the writing skill to ask for that :] it might seem like a daunting price point, but most people won't be ordering tiny things like 1k words - and trust me, with the amount of back and forth that happens with clients once you start hitting 5-6k+ words and multiple chapters, you'll want that extra pay increase for the sheer amount of time, effort, and research that goes in even before you actually start writing 😭
gummifrog I would love to write some oc x canon for you! >:) I’m not kidding when I say that kind of pairing is one of my favourite to write, hehe. I think quality of life on a worldwide scale would be improved if we all indulged in oc x canon. 😌 Either way thank you for the kind words! I really appreciate them 😭 I can take credit for my writing style but the carrd was mostly my partner, HAHA. At least the visuals. Luscinioide haha omg seeing you in my notifs was a pleasant surprise <3 but i really really appreciate the check in ;_; and the advice as well! pricing my writing is part of the reason why i’m holding off on opening comms so like your info is actually incredibly helpful??? i’ll for sure be checking over my prices again, particularly because i do value the opinion of another (longtime!) writer + creative in general! especially one who’s worldbuilding i really love <3 i did check out your cyberpunk world on toyhouse hehe :3

ofc!! most of my for-profit writing experience is in academic/technical applications as opposed to fiction, but if you need any more pointers or guidance you can DM me and i'd be happy to help :] ik setting up writing commissions can be super intimidating, especially since it's so hard to find a set standard rate (more so on a site like TH where most writers GREATLY underprice themselves 😔)

I'm always on the lookout for artists who are chill with it but I've been been reading enough self insert fanfic lately to be like, sure wish this was about my babygirl, and that I didn't have to write it myself LOL I would love to be notified when they're open, please add me to the ping list!! 😍😍
gummifrog If it helps, I actually STARTED out reading/writing self insert fanfic (as opposed to ones with canonical pairings), so you would have someone that's both experienced in the genre and actively consumes it XD My early days were populated with akatsuki insert fic... so I genuinely would be more than happy to help you with this. >:3 And hehe yes then I will ping you when they're open!
