Potential Segments:
Explanation of Uktari for Sayuun: Perhaps in the form of him telling Sayuun a thing or two. Alternatively, leaving this blank for the reader to learn from the later characters could work too. Learning about Uktari from an Uktari just isn’t quite as fun as having other characters have to learn about them.
Suggestions for an Up-and-Coming Captain: Umid writing an acquaintance or friend of Sayuun after they asked for suggestions on who he should hire in particular roles.
Commentary on Literature: Umid writing a response or commentary on a piece of literature allowing for a segue into examining the culture/ race in question. The only literature floating around though that I know if is a potential pixie writing thing and some onixar poetry. Perhaps Umid comparing a pixie guide on how to be successful with an onixar guide to living happily or whatever [a sort of magazine-like article thing, you know the sort.] which establishes both cultures and the distinct differences between what they value.
Comparing his Own Crew: Comparing distinct behaviors or preferences between his crew members of varying races and questioning how much of it stems from individual preferences, biological differences, or differing cultural standards.
Analyzing the Uktari Influence: Umid noting how, despite being functionally dead [setting the scene for mystery because he doesn't explain why]individual members of his race remain surprisingly influential. Jax’s bounty system, S’Zek’s historical influence, etc… this sets up characters that will show up in the crossovers, but also makes their first appearance less notable. Still dunno if including anything about the Uktari in the prologue is a good idea or not- the same goes for humans, so’una, and merux.
Commentary on Sayuun’s More Entertaining Reactions: ‘She was pretty spooked to see an inoian that wasn’t pretending to be humanoid’ ya know, something like that.
Act I: Introduction
Every adventure has to start somewhere.
Qoe’dex escapes the lab and meets up with Kiron, who is happy to be given some sort of direction. They steal the ship that Hunter was working on and enlist the help of the captive pilot, Evvajhnkou. Before things can settle down too much, Oo’Gala boards the ship and joins the crew.
Chapter I: Qoe’dex’s Escape.
Qoe’dex’s introduction and how she wound up at the port.
Chapter II: Interception.
Kiron’s introduction and set up, and Qoe’dex crossing paths with her.
Event: Kiron’s set up
Kiron does her stuff…? Uh, but, leaving this character more vague is probably for the best in this case… She’s complicated, and will require a genuine segment to explain, and a half decent transition to her often thought-heavy scenarios… probably a good idea to set her up much like Qoe was set up….
Event: Interception
Qoe’dex spots Kiron and decides that the aimless looking strangely dressed chick is just the person who can get ehr off of this rock!
Chapter III: Stealing the Ship.
Introduce Hunter, introduce Evvajhnkou, the ship gets stolen.
Event: Hunter’s setup.
Hunter and his shitty captain are set up, setting the scene for the ship that’s about to get ransacked.
Chapter IV: Introductions.
We get some names going.
Chapter V: Oo’Gala.
An uktari joins the crew!
Chapter VI: Onward.
Somehow, the ship is still in one piece.
