So I recently found out that in France it's rude to not make eye contact (I bet some other places have it too idk) so if I go to France I can just wear sunglasses wherever I go to avoid accidentally looking someone directly in the eye.

i got a potpourri crock pot thing from 1988 like 4 days ago and i have not stopped using it since it landed in my room. it was brand new in the box with all of the dried mixes, instructions, safety warnings, etc. it looks like this and is SO FREAKING CUTE. it's so dainty and perfect and i'm seriously channeling grandma right now. it's perfect. utterly adorable. i currently have the peach mix going rn and it's divine. it was $6 and i'm so happy with my purchase. it ties my room together so well and the smell lasts forever.
and yea i know this isn't a thread about potpourri i just thought it'd be funnier to post this here than in the general comments thread. i love my potpourri crock. :]

honestly i think it's just like. hot water mixed with dry herbs/spices. how mine works is that the base heats up and there's a little bowl which i poured water in and then dropped the prepackaged herbs/spices in. it's sort of like scented wax melts but more natural.
i think you could probably make one using a candle instead of an electrically heated base? but i've also heard of people just putting a pot with cinnamon sticks and some other stuff on the stove!
i've also just looked on ebay and there are tons of other designs from this brand! just look up "rival potpourri crock". they're all quite vintage looking though haha. they seem to average around $25 (but shipping is INSANE for me and i live in canada)
