Sargon Losnedahl originated from Earth. Little of his past is known, except that he lived for around 50-60 years before deciding to pursue vampirism.

At the time, his country had a large vampire population, and small slayer organisations were beginning to pick them off. He witnessed how vampires were killed indiscriminately, just because the humans feared them. Watching these conflicts, he saw an opportunity to gain great power. The struggling individuals needed a strong leader who could protect them from the slayers. Sargon would become a vampire himself, take control and, in doing so, gain an army that would follow him anywhere.

He underwent the transformation and began to travel around, saving vampires who were being attacked. Some stuck around in hopes of repaying the debt, while others stayed due to the protection he offered. Eventually Sargon had banded together more than fifty vampires - a group too large for any individual slayer organisations to threaten them.

That was when he made his first mistake. Eager to display his power, he led his people to attack one of the slayer organisations, and they wiped it out. When news of the attack spread, every slayer in the country began to ruthlessly hunt them down. Now wanted men, they had no choice but to flee to another country and lie low.

Morale dropped, and several of his followers abandoned him, but others believed it was safer to stay.

Years later, Sargon was approached by a mysterious vampiric woman with long black hair and a kind expression. She introduced herself as Evelyn, and said that she had been following his story. She, too, had the goal of protecting the vampire race from slayers. Though she chastised his violent methods, she passed it off as him being young and overeager. She invited Sargon and his people to live with her in the old castle she had claimed as her territory.

The castle was a peaceful place, lying far from any human settlements. Evelyn, who was becoming known as 'The Vampire Queen' had amassed a small army of followers in much the same way Sargon had. However, she did not take advantage of them; she simply wanted to keep them safe. Sargon was initially resentful of her power, but he decided to stay with her for the time being. Over many years, the pair became friends, sharing the mutual goal of protecting the vampires - or so Evelyn thought. She didn't realise that Sargon was more interested in personal power.

Even more time passed, and their friendship began to sour as their individual opinions came to light. Sargon constantly stated that the only way to keep their kind safe was to subjugate the humans. Evelyn was a pacifist, envisioning a world where both peoples could live together in peace and harmony.

Eventually, she banished Sargon from her castle along with the few who were still loyal to him. It left her despairing, but she could no longer ignore his cruelty. During those years, Sargon had attacked numerous humans without her permission. When she threw him out, he realised that virtually every slayer on the continent was out for his blood. His remaining followers either left him or were killed over the next few months.

With little choice but to flee again, he sought out a person who had the ability to open portals and bribed them to transport him far away. To another world, in fact. A world that he had only heard stories about. Here, he was alone and respected by no-one. But he was alive, and before long, his thoughts turned to the idea of starting anew. He was determined to regain the power he'd had before.
