Battle Begins Prompts

Stella was completely and utterly unprepared for the contents of the package. She never planned on being a pokemon trainer of any kind. There wasn't any particular reason why, she didn't feel any particular attachment to the starters offered in her area and she didn't want to leave home on adventure at the time. How fitting that the package arrived the moment she was completely on her own. On the inside? A single pokeball. She briefly considered whether the package was delivered to the wrong person but it was clearly addressed to her. After quite a bit of hesitation, she took the pokeball and threw it.

Before she saw it she heard a twinkling noise the pokemon made, and then she was finally face with the small snom-skitty fusion. She peered down at the small pokemon, which peered back up at her with absolute adoration in its eyes already. Who sent her this pokemon? and why? What was she supposed to do now? 

"Hello, little one." She greeted, not sure exactly how to handle this. The snom-skitty stared at her for another minute before it cried out, dancing from foot to foot in excitement. She couldn't help the smile that crossed her face. It was quite cute with its little dance of joy. How could it already hold so much love for her? She tentatively reached out to pet the pokemon and it leaned into her hand, its tail swaying happily. "Should we be friends?" The snom-skitty cried out once more, dancing again. Another smile crossed her face. 

Stella wasn't sure about going on any adventures, but she was sure about one thing: She was never leaving this pokemon's side.
