Prompt: Herbs

Gaia's home had a wide variety of medicines. Bottles, vials, jars, and drawers. Her home smelled strongly of dried herbs of various kinds. Often times her windows are open to flush out most of the smell.

Of course, she has more than medicinal herbs, as she believed in various types of medicine. Herbs can help with certain ailments but by all means-- were they no cure-all. Modern medicine was also something to marvel but today was not that day.

Today she had various herbs to collect and dry, some of which she collected from the wild and others which she had grown at home. Lavender and white sage in pots, and garlic in the backyard. She harvests plenty of lavender for another healer of the same name (lavenders are her favorite, to no surprise).

With a bundle of lavender all ready to go, a basket under her arm, and a sunhat panted on her head--Gaia left to the young healer's house.

Unlike Gaia's home that smelled strongly of herbs, Lavender's home was smelled strongly of various floral scents: lavender, rose, peony, sweet pea. A knock on the door and the younger healer eagerly takes the stalks of flowers and is quick to head out.

There, the two healers went off into the wilderness and would not be back until noon, with baskets full of various plants. Wildflowers and herbs are collected--good to last a couple of weeks when dried.

(Even shorter if they decide to make tea with chamomile this week, but that would take a while. It takes quite some time for the blooms to dry.)

When a plant's peak season is coming to an end, they collect more of it. If used sparingly, they will last until the next.

Gaia looks at the various drawers.

She'll need more juniper berries, but that will be another day--another time.

As those, she will have to venture further for.
