Silence filled the air of the open field, only occasionally being broken by the ambiance of nearby insects. In the middle of the field a somewhat small Carnotaurus laid upon the grass, a sleepy expression displayed across their face. The carno blinked slowly, being in an open field seemed like a bad idea for most but being a carno their speed made sure they could get away from anything so being in the open just meant nothing could sneak up on them.

Suddenly a deafening silence gripped the area. The bugs stopped calling and it felt as though the Earth itself had stopped spinning. The small carno jolted away at the sudden change in atmosphere. Usually, insects only stop when something big is nearby. Something they are scared of. The carnos eyes scanned the edge of the field into the thick forest. For a moment all seemed empty, until a faint movement caught his eye, a spot of red within the green shrubbery.

Slowly walking into the clearing came an impossibly large carno but something seemed... Off about them. His eyes seemed glazed over, expressionless, and he was covered in what looked like life ending wounds. Yet the dark black carno continued treading towards the smaller one, each step closing the gap further and further.

“Brains...” the dark carno muttered the word, his deep voice booming over the field.

“What? What does that-” the smaller carno started before his horrors came to reality.

The large black carno launched itself at the smaller one, his large strides carrying him to his target within the blink of an eye. In an instant the smaller carno was pinned with teeth clamped down on its neck. It didn’t take long for the life to leave its eyes and the larger carno to begin to engorge itself. Its mind seemed blank and only focused on one thing, the flesh of the living. Though I suppose that is nothing new for the large carno Ares. He was a known cannibal with an unquenchable thirst for bloodshed.

This time of year though, Ares enjoyed playing tricks on the poor dinos of Isla Kela. He would try to “dress up” as different things to scare his victims even more so than they already were. This year he thought the living dead was a great choice, making mock injuries out of the flesh of his previous prey and boy did it lend to the terror he induced in others.

He stumbled around like a mindless carcass thirsty for blood, or well... Brains? The idea sounded much more scary in his mind, though it would have been easier to just scare others normal but were was the fun in that?

Once finishing his meal, Ares made sure to cover himself in even more guts from this newest kill, really trying to sell the deal that the organs he had wrapped around him were his own, rotting away from his dead body.

Letting out a bloodcurdling roar Ares left his kill, most of the flesh still remaining on the body. Hunger wasn’t the driving force behind his attack, but rather the flesh of the living.
